I am interested in the Oxycoin project: https://oxycoin.io/

I know the risks of losing money with an ICO, but I think it is worth to try for long term.

This is the first time I will join an ICO... Is it uncommon to invest only a small amount, like 0.25 - 0.5 ETC?

To join it is like send an amount and just wait for your tokens... Is it that simple?

I'm sorry for the noob questions...

Thanks!

A small amount to invest is fine and I think it is that simple. You should check with the creators of the coin for the official rules...each coin could have different rules.

I know the risks of losing money with an ICO, but I think it is worth to try for long term.

So if you know the risks why do you want to invest in this coin. Why is this coin of the 200+ others the coin you want to participate in? What about it is different or better than the established Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ether, Dash, and Monero?

ICOs fail significantly more often than they succeed. And they rarely jump to real levels of price like other established coins have, so the risk you're taking doesn't even match the likely upside potential.

You should watch Ben Perrin's BTC Sessions video on an ICO before you invest in this coin.

Another thing to consider: after you have thought objectively about all your concerns and finally decided to stick with a particular ICO, you can help them to spread the word or ask them if you can help them otherwise. Long term this might help your investment as well.

You meant 0.25 - 0.5 BTC right? Doesn't seem like that ICO is accepting ETC.

I'm not gonna tell you if you did the right decision or not by investing in this ICO since hopefully you know what you're doing, but to answer your question: Yes. You pretty much just hand over the bitcoin and wait for the coins/tokens on whatever wallet they're gonna give it in. Make sure to read the ICO page to have full information on how their ICO is gonna work: https://oxycoin.io/ico.php  Looks like their mobile app is still currently in development.

Best of luck.

Ok. I read the white paper. Honestly, I don't think there is much there.

Consider that the "main feature" doesn't even use the Oxycoin token. What exactly are you getting when you buy a token? You aren't getting a share of the company.

The main feature of the OXYCOIN® mobile application is to enable users to purchase cryptocurrencies directly with FIAT - whether they have IT knowledge or not. You might be better off posing your question in the Altcoins Discussion section, as that is a rather specific question on one altcoin. You'd be better off avoiding ICO's altogether though, as they are very high risk and lots of lies have been told in the past.

Pretty much but they prefer paying tokens and tokens are producing more than the main currency like waves it is hard to trade tokens because you need yo have a wage balance at least one wave or eth rather
