May be in some regions/countries you can reverse Payment sent as Friend/Family, but in PAYPAL EUROPE there is NO CHANCE to do it.
@filipwx
yes , if you send as for friend, no way chargeback yourself , even there are no such options in paypal to start dispute , but this does not mean that Paypal can't chargeback.
This can occur for various reasons: stolen , hacked account, stolen cc. And even if you do not do it directly, you may have received in this way transfer from other persons, In this case pp performs the return circuit.
so there is always a risk.
but I think still if you raise a dispute with paypal and send paypal team an email you can get the money back even with friend and family . so still need to be carefull
you can't raise a dispute with this type of payment (at least from the paypal page). Probably you will have to call Paypal and explain why.
They will check the logs to see if this transaction seems to have been legit (your "fingerprints" etc..), of course some good hackers could match ALL cases, but there is no guarantee.
Anyway, this is not just a simple calculation.
The rule: Generally don't accept PP from everyone and select carefully the person you want to deal with. Of course, there is still no guarantee.
And even saying that, if we start really thinking like this, then no one will open a business these days and accept Paypal or Credit card as payment, as all this can result to fraud.
So it's up to you to think if you want to run a business (that could potentially have some risks) or just open a shop at the next street, when you accept only cash payment (but here still a risk that you get dirty cash or fake bills
)
So what is the other alternative? Don't do any business at all and/or just look for a job as Employee: You are safe
