They're not cheap enough yet in my opinion. I think there will be more and bigger dips coming so there should be more opportunities to buy lower. I would look for a price of $3000 to buy but you never know if it will drop that low again. I think a correction will happen and the newbies will start jumping out and the price will consolidate at some lower point. But that point will be a solid bottom as the weakest investors are out of the picture.

Yeah, good to see that you are back making another reminder to buy in this dip. I remember your *first* thread about bitcoin in this kind of dip. I think its when the price goes to $1900 and still people are not getting it and waiting for the price to dip at $1500 then suddenly in 24 hours the price goes up to $2900. This is prior to Aug 1 split. So making another thread so that investor specially newbies will see your message here.

I think that there will be no big dip in bitcoin price as earlier.We could see that if such incidents had occurred earlier in china,it would have caused a huge crash in bitcoin price.But this time,we could see that there is a huge buy wall which is resisting the fall of bitcoin price further and the reason is that bitcoin has now investors all over the world and bitcoin market is no more in need of china's circumstances.I think that it would be better to buy now itself instead of waiting for more dips.Otherwise,you would have to once again miss the train,this time the high speed bullet train as bitcoin price would go high in rocket speed.

Somebody posted on this forum earlier that every weekend there is a dip, same for this weekend. Yesterday there was a drop but not that massive.
Today everything is quite stable and I expect the price will rise again on monday

It will be like how it goes when split and segwit FUD happens, I don't think there's a need for everyone to panic. The fact that it seems stable on its range not lowering too much then it's fine ,it still have chance to increase again.

you should always take advantage of every opportunity in bitcoin but also you should hurry to take advantage of them not a moment later. these days we are in the dip but still there are news coming our way. the bad part of this is that the news can go either way, it can become more vague and lead to bigger FUD or it can be a clear thing to clear the FUD up and price goes back up.

i say if you have bought at $4100 last day, then you have bought in the dip. from now on keep your eyes open to see what the next news will be and based on that you can see if there is more dip or there is a big rise coming.

Yes.  It's obviously fragile considering that the news has nothing to do with Bitcoin and the price still dropped by several times more than traditional financial markets ever do (except for occasional days which only happen every several years).

It also shows the influence which governments could easily have on the BTC's price, and due to people's excessive speculation, their opinion of BTC afterwards.  If a government were to actually enact a real ban on cryptocurrencies, even though it would not fully work, this shows that it could easily crush public perceptions about cryptocurrency.
At this point, I'm not convinced by a "dip" unless it goes significantly lower.

I call it a normal trend, dips and ups is just a normal behavior of bitcoin, and also be true to panicking people, manipulation? I think not, it just happen that china's stand firm on banning ICO to protect their people, FUDs are there no matter what we do, they are a part of this what you called Dips, and Also here we are buying on Dips, and we are part of the Ups ones. I think not, it just happen that china's stand firm on banning ICO to protect their people, FUDs are there no matter what we do, they are a part of this what you called Dips, and Also here we are buying on Dips, and we are part of the Ups ones. I think those FUD news mainly attack the newcomers in the bitcoin world.
When you are longer involved here, you get used to that kind of rumor.
In the last six months, I think we had nothing of that kind. And in the same time the price grew a lot.
That means there are many new people here who do not know this game yet and fall for it.

Agree, at this price level one can start accumulating Bitcoins for the long term. However, I would still recommend anyone who is willing to invest should split his purchase orders and buy Bitcoins during specific intervals of time.

I have a friend who sold almost 50% of his holdings when Bitcoin was floating around $5K and now he is going to start investing again at this level but he said, he will buy 10% each week rather than buying in a bulk quantity. Cost averaging technique would help the investor to take benefit of the price volatility and at this stage, I see a good opportunity. However, this is my personal opinion and might be completely wrong, one should do his own research before taking any investment decision.

You always need to catch those cheap bitcoins. For this you need to reserve some free capital which you won't use unless there is a really cheap buying opportunity. I'm doing this all the time to cath them.

People need to take advantage of this price dips and buy bitcoins while the price is still low. I think it is just China's tactic to buy cheap then sell high so that they can get profit as soon as the price goes up again which will be surely inevitable.
