Haven't had that much cash since it happened twice, with only 2 days interval. :/ Kinda kicking myself since I missed another golden opportunity on buying some coins. The rumors about China really hits the markets hard, and if these are just made-up by a certain group, they sure made it a good one that caused a good shakeout of weak hands. It's happening more often that I'm not even surprised if there would be a new rumor within the next 3 days.

The dips haven't really been pronounced when looking at BTC values, actually, since it's really Bitcoin's price that's moving alt prices (being tied to BTC value). Without fresh capital to get into buying mode, the only real way to take advantage of these dips are to trade in Tether. So I've been mainly a bystander over the last few months (or since July anyway), or trying to request payments for my work during the dips (doesn't really work though).

Now considering if I should invest in Tether simply for this purpose. Stayed away from that option for too long, perhaps?

They're not cheap enough yet in my opinion. I think there will be more and bigger dips coming so there should be more opportunities to buy lower. I would look for a price of $3000 to buy but you never know if it will drop that low again. I think a correction will happen and the newbies will start jumping out and the price will consolidate at some lower point. But that point will be a solid bottom as the weakest investors are out of the picture.

I still can't figure out whether this China news is as fake as the DVDs and silver coins they pump out onto the world market, or if it would even be news anyway.  Seems like it did affect the price, though. 

I don't think this is cheap enough, either.  But we'll see.  There's nothing in this market that's predictable--ever.  Glad I bought some junk silver.  I don't regret that.

If you know Bitcoin history and a strong believer of Bitcoin, you can make a lot of profit over and over again with this fake and false news because in the end Bitcoin price is heading to the moon as history tells us so many times.

As I can see , bitcoin current value quite stable ( 5%-10% change for this week ) people may have advantage to make profit especially active trader

Yes, bitcoin keep falling and move with itself other currencies. For somebody it is going to be a really good opportunity to buy bitcoin or some other altcoin. But I am not that kind of trader who are buing little amounts of bitcoin at such prices. I prefer all ( at least 0.1 BTC) or nothing. I chose the strategy of conservation, I am just put on the side some percent of my weekly earnings. I have saved not so bad money already and I am going to continue till bitcoin will not hit 10K$ point, then I will sell the minimum as 50% of this savings and other will stay just to see what will happen

There is always a dip before the value surges once again, i remember the last great dip one weekend which drove the value way below the $3000 and most people panicked and sold, i bet they really regretted it when the value recovered on Monday, The price is never high to buy when it comes to bitcoins.

Yes it is the right time to buys some bitcoin I am also thinking to buy but not having enough fund even I am having idea to buy some other altcoin using bitcoin saving.

i think we mostly expect such ups and down from bitcoin price i am hopeful that bitcoin price will again get acceleration and the good option is to  buy bitcoin in the present price because it is the best time to buy bitcoin as bitcoin price is not going to stay here for a long time but will start increasing very soon. therefore i think we need to get good position before bitcoin start increasing.

I have to admit this coin has been pretty interesting with more interesting swings. I dare say they are wild swings. I rode 2 of them recently for a nice amount of profit.

for its future I think for now the wild swings are going to continue until people become more cautious first before the direction becomes clear.

I could have sold some the moment it dipped but that is hard to do, especially with the large spread in our local exchange. yeah, this is usually one of my problems too. when a big dip happens, sometimes i don't have money to buy in. but so far i have borrowed money a couple of times to buy bitcoin in the dip. not that i suggest doing it but that is an option. and so far i have been successful and even if i wasn't, the amount that i chose to borrow was managable enough to cover in case i lost some amount like 5%.

the thing you need to remember is that when you buy in the dip there is no more room for big losses. the drop has already happend inside a dip so there is only up left to go.
the trick is finding the bottom and buying near it.

for now i suggest waiting for some new news then making decisions. the last dip is over and we need to see what happens now.

I'm also hoping the same thing. I've prepare my cash to get another great entry point to buy. Probably it could be gradually down to $3k. And there is a fork issue in november, thougt it would be another dip for bitcoin. I still not buy again, because I also think it could be more cheap. Let's see if we were wrong.

Haha, if only I can have someone to borrow money from. None of my relatives having anything to lend me. I don't think buying and selling bitcoin would be profitable for us outside the US. How high are the spead there? With the exchange I'm using the difference between the buy and sell price is almost always $200, which kinda make it hard to time things right.

A very nice move. Though a bit late, the thing that matter is that you cashed in in the dip and did not ignore the price correction. I have always want to do this but unfortunately, I do not have some money to spare. I do not have a job at the moment so I cannot do some cashing in in the mean while. Nonetheless, I will do that.
