Hi guys,

I'm a bit confused. As the subject states, Armory is online but the node is offline (484 331 blocks). I run armory 96.2. Therefore not able to send my coins elsewhere. I just ran Bitcoin core and synched it with armory. Am I missing something?

Is Bitcoin Core running when Armory is running (check task manager to see if bitcoind is running)? If not, try starting Bitcoin Core manually. Go to File > Settings and uncheck (if not already unchecked) the option for "Let Armory run Bitcoin Core in the background. Then stop Armory, start Bitcoin Core, let it sync, and then start Armory.

First of all thank you for your response. I tried your suggestion. However, when I start armory again, after the wallet check-up, the programme seems to hang at "preparing database". Not showing any progress bar or percentage...

You can solve that issue by deleting Armory's database folder in "%APPDATA%/Armory". The reason is that after upgrading your old database can not be used anymore (not backward-compatible). So by deleting that folder after upgrade you will force a rebuild and rescan.

That's correct. I did that indeed. I got the latest version running again.

It's odd how it seems to work with one person and not with another.
1. I deleted all the armory files (also the hidden ones) with the treesize programme.
2. Let bitcoin core run
3. re-installed armory
4. let it synch and got it connected somehow

Unfortunately I don't have a clear answer for this issue..I did these steps several times, with different versions of armory...it's frustrating, I know...

A--------------------------------------
TRIED a SECOND computer,  have same issue.

RE: armory 0.96
1. windows 10 (64)   stops at block 145k
2. windows 8.1 (64)   stops at block 402k

both using bitcoin core version v0.14.2

both have no issue running bitcoin qt, and are fully synced.
connection fine, file paths fine.

https://imgur.com/a/j4FX3

stuck at block 145954

hard drive has lots of room.
internet connection is super fine.
file paths are fine.
bitcoin qt, functions normally and is at current block height.
rrrrrrr.

B----------------------
as per above.
shut down armory.
fired up bitcoin qt.
deleted armory folder (databases)
fired up armory - rescan DB
ARMORY DB window scans to block #145954  then shits itself.
Enabling zero config tracking.  then NOTHING.

no success...same issue!
can anyone help me with this?

thanks,
Mr T.

This happened to me as well. Then I realized I had "listen=0" in my bitcoin.conf. Changing it back to 1, the default, solved this issue.
