hi all,

i have a virgin wallet on an encrypted drive, since a week ago. today, i transfered  a couple of BTC there, the transactions did show up seconds later in the blockexplorer: http://blockexplorer.com/address/1KJEWmaEzpXXTYRMAAgzc84jfmx7viSAFm

however, i have had bitcoin running for three hours now, and the moneys havent shown up yet.

do i need to be worried?

regards,

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Is your client up to date with all of the new blocks since you last ran it, i.e. Does the block count at the bottom right of the client window match the first number in the first row of the table here... http://blockexplorer.com/ ?
