Definitely it is a better option to trade other crypto currencies for USD or BTC because USD being the most stable and strongest economy of the world as physical currency is more valuable than any other of the physical currencies and bit coin is the best secured and exponentially growing virtual currency of the world. So I will trade them either for USD or for BTC whatever the best option is available for me.

it's all depend on your strategies what is your choice.
for example me,
i prefer to use BTC as a currency for valuing my portofolio because my strategy is to stake more Bitcoin for holding,
which mean no matter what will happen in Bitcoin price as long as my Bitcoin keep increasing,i am profit.
why i choose that ?
because Bitcoin still have a lot room to grow,and even if the price fall right now.what will happen in the future ?
it will recover back to the last price and then hit another ATH in coming year.

but for day trade i prefer to choose USD,
because it's very stable and you can see it clearly how much your money is and how much your profit/loss.
so it's all depend on the trader themself

Well it's a lot less complicated when you're only dealing with btc-usd, but if you're up to it, altcoin trading can give you more profit. Though its a little unsteady and quite riskier. Personally i'd more trade btc-usd for now until i gather a bigger capital

Indeed! I think in the present day, it is very much profitable and is recommended to all the investors to go for Bitcoin instead of going for USD. Bitcoin surely holds a very bright future and that it is very much capable of changing the lives of all of us who believe in it and invest in it.

I don't think all markets are available in USD. It depends on your preference and both have their benefits and drawbacks. I prefer using BTC while trading and if market is unstable I move it to tether.

If it's USD, then trade against USD (trading against bitcoin will introduce an additional complication as bitcoin moves independently against the USD as well).

It basically boils down to your view. If you expect a currency to be negatively correlated with Bitcoin and you believe that it will go up when Bitcoin goes down, you can short BTC and buy that currency. Of course, such trades have high volatility.

When LTC is High, convert to btc because you the possibility of getting most profit is high. Bitcoin will also increase at time like that. When you directly convert to btc, the profit is stock to that price and in lesser risk. While if you convert it to btc first, there is a higher risk and at the same time, a chance of getting a bigger income because of bitcoin's price changes from time time even if you already converted to it. Your amount on hold is affected by the change in bitcoin's price. But still, there are many choices and opinions out there, so take time to read and compare to see which idea is the best. Good luck.

BTC for sure. Unless you are only going to trade Litecoin, you should hold a steady BTC income/balance so you can diversify out to any altcoin any time you want. Not all alts trade in USD but ALL alts trade against BTC.

Also, you are referring to Tether (USDT) right? Another advantage is you can loan out BTC with interest but not Tether. Small interest for sure, but you are growing balance anyway.

Usually I trade everything to BTC and I use http://strymex.com to see prices in USD, BTC and other currencies. It is good to see the price in USD just to know how much I can spend on some coins in USD.
