Hi everybody,
I am a newbie in bitcoin world. I just started mining last week (august 2017) with a Geforce GTX 1060 3GB OC and an AMD r9 280X 3GB. I get 300 sol/s on each card, while 280X is underclocked and my 1060 is overclocked to the max.
I first tried NiceHash for mining with those cards, but because the fee is extreme high, i just mine with Claymore and EWBF @ 300sol/s.
Since yesterday my R9 280X gives me some error codes:
"GPU #0 returned incorrect data!"
and that multiple times...
And sometimes i see "GPU #0 share rejected"
I tried to give the 280X less power, but no luck.
What is this, and what can i do about this, it seems to be someting negative. '
And than, the 1060OC is getting just 65 degrees max, but the 280X is getting more than 80 degrees!! Sometime more dan 90! But i turn my pc off then. How is this possible, or how can i make claymore make my gpu colder? Is it possible to buy better cooling paste, yes its possible but does it work? What kind of paste is strong?
For now, i am the most happy with the GTX 1060, its cold - small card - low power rate (max 120W) - great overclock utility - get 300sol/s.
R9 280X is older, hotter, but faster without overclock!
Regards
That error because you undervolt 280x to much. You can try powerlimit -20% to make 280x colder for running long time.
