Welcome to Rock Ventures Dubai!

Rock Ventures is a new business within Dubai spearheaded by Rock Expansion Middle East, a global expansion and consultancy firm previously operating in the UK, US and Kuwait, that focused on international tech start ups and helping them expand in to the Middle Eastern region and managed their growth.  

Dubai is a fantastic incubator and accelerator space for blockchain technology and the Government has recently announced that all government departments will be fully ran on blockchain by 2020.  That offers international start ups the chance to be part of a real world opportunity to come to the region, develop their idea and their platform and be part of the growing and thriving eco-system that is here.

With many years experience in the mobilization and relocation of international companies through our previous ventures, we have developed an innovative attitude to the acceleration of start ups, solo entrepreneurs and very early stage companies.   We take a revolutionary approach to early stage financing, and we work with companies to bootstrap where necessary, raise appropriate funds from the correct sources and offer a unique perspective on international growth opportunities.  

We have identified a real opportunity in Dubai for a safe haven where the most forward thinking international blockchain and tech advancemnets can be provided with support and structure, as well as the opportunity for funding and financial backing.  We aim to provide this in association with the existing community, but also work in conjunction with the Government and the freezones to ensure that we are coordinating and delivering the best and most agreeable conditions for these types of companies to flourish.

The next three months are a critical time for the business as we progress our idea, raise our ICO, develop the platform and the token and start our international outreach programme to find the next wave of talent to bring to Dubai.  Before we issue our pre ICO wave of financing with it’s own benefits and rewards, we wanted to first reach out to a small number of early adopters and brand ambassadors who can work with us, support us and collaborate with us over the coming months.


Financing -
-    We are currently a raising a small buffer of funds in BTC, ETH, AED and USD to kickstart the project and enable us to develop the platform sufficiently as to ensure a successful and safe ICO raise.  Escrow security is available for these early stage investments to ensure maximum peace of mind for your investment, and these investments will be converted in to tokens once the ICO is launched, at significant discount

Note from the Founder

Thanks for taking the time to read through our white paper for the presale of our Rock Ventures ICO.  The reasons for producing a document and a pre sale at such an early stage have been outlined above, but I just wanted to add a personal note from myself.  As you can see from my experience, I myself am relatively new to the world of blockchain and crypto currency having only studied it for around 6 months, but the main thing that has concerned me as we have been in the process of building this business is the amount of opportunity in this industry for companies to raise funds - sometimes extremely large amounts of funds - and then not follow through on what they are intending to build.

My reason for building a start up and venture fund in the Middle East and raising funds in order to do so comes from an understanding of the market, a commitment to the development of entrepreneurship and innovation and a genuine desire to see technology drive us forward.  But anyone could easily say that in a White Paper.  So I wanted to release our information early and work with the extended community to make sure at all times we are building in safeguards and easily identifiable milestones for our growth, but also to welcome as many thoughts, ideas and suggestions from the blockchain community as possible.  

Because what we are trying to build doesn’t serve the standard business world that I come from - it aims to serve the new world of technology that you come from.   Our door will always be open to input and feedback on how we can be building that better, and incorporating more ways to serve this next generation of blockchain innovators.

what is the total number of the token??

As it's a fund we are setting the maximum number of tokens at 100,000,000 with a $1 USD valuation, but the minimum raise we are looking for in the ICO will be $5mill.  This will allow us to build a start up buffer of funds to welcome our first few pipeline projects to Dubai and also provide a venture capital fund with which to invest in other opportunities.  By buying the token our pool of investors will be able to utilise the token in the pre-sale of any of the businesses, projects and opportunities that come through our programme or that we are investing in

Hey thanks for the feedback and you're totally right -  that's the website for our current company which is a consulting company that's been working helping businesses expand to the Middle East.  It totally needs work but we have been focusing on the launch of the new website which will tie in with the new Rock Ventures platform.  This is always the risk of exposing the idea to the community too early, but that's exactly why we wanted to offer a large discount to try and get some keen early adopters on side.  We did this with the local Dubai community first and have great interaction with the groups here and are now just expanding this wider.

Hey - no absolutely you're entitled to your opinion and that's one reason for getting the project out so early - to try and build a good relationship with the community as it was mostly tech companies that we were working with before and the crypto and blockchain space is slightly different.  Spotting scams is important and I myself am working with several key people to ensure that the content and documentation we are putting out for the white paper, and the way we run the ICO is in line with the developing industry standards coming out of Switzerland and the US

It's hard to be able to put your mind at rest more than that at this stage but I would appreciate if you follow the thread as we release more information and keep in touch as I would be happy to address any concerns.  Re the website we are originally UK based so the spelling mistakes may be due to UK spelling but ill go have a look just now and double check.  Like I posted above though this is the site for our consulting company so we are developing the updated one as we speak. 

as for sounding like a friendly woman I'm afraid I will just need to take the hit on that one as that's exactly what I am - but don't worry I'm sure a few more months in the crypto forums and I'll be more miserable ;-)

So at the moment we already work with small companies and start ups and bring them out to the Middle East.  We help them raise financing, find incubators and accelerators to work from etc and support them with their growth.  Dubai in particular has a huge focus on blockchain at the moment as they have the goal of having all relevant operations on blockchain by 2020.  So there are great opportunities here for companies like that to come out and operate in the space, hence why we started looking to help these types of companies in particular.  We want to make it easier for them and provide support and investment but also help them fit within the regulatory changes that will be coming up in the area.

By putting our own fund on blockchain the reason behind that is to make the financial information behind VC investing more transparent - there's a few funds in the US just now doing successful raises through crypto but we want to take it one step further and develop a community token for the start ups and the blockchain start up community in Dubai.  We intend to be able to support and invest in the next wave of start ups but at the same time have increased opportunities for the individual token owners to be able to also invest their tokens in the pool of start ups that we have coming through.  Gaining wider audience for the pipeline, helping them gain momentum and raise the right level of investing and also making sure that anything they are building is likely to be in line with any potential regulation changes over the next few years in the region.
