After reading Finshaggy's post about going on a world tour ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=216402.0 ) I have had an idea for a website if anyone fancies taking it on .... (this is not something I am thinking of doing so feel free to run with it) There are a few social network sites where you can hook up with people worldwide and stay in their house while you travel around. Could something similar be done for bitcoin (BitVacation.com or StayForABit.com) Also, when people sign up and offer accommodation, they can also list any places to spend Bitcoin within say 20 miles of them. That way you get an idea of how convenient it would be to spend Bitcoin in that location and it could show "Bitcoin hotspots" on a map of the world. What do you think?

Think about it for a second. Would you really allow anyone from this forum to live in your place? I know I wouldn't.

I'd love to have you people at my house, 40% masterminds? 30% architects? 20% inspectors... wow what a great combination of people. We can stay up late and trade libertarian view points, discuss freedom drinking beer till late at night... great idea I love it. plus think about it, what better way to get bitcoins flowing but from normal everyday transactions. I have 2 bitcoins, your offering $25 per night accommodation plus we can exchange bitcoins for the cost of groceries or breakfast. my mining rigs will finally give me the freedom to travel that I deserve!

StayforaBit is pretty nice domain idea tho Yes, I'm quite proud of that one. I would register it but I can't be bothered. No doubt someone will now though. If anyone does get something like this up and running, I will happily accept a donation

When someone cashes out the domain name to some silicon valley exec for two million dollars we're going to feel pretty bad.

That's why you always register your domain name ideas first before posting them online especially if they're good. It's only like $10 and now someone could possibly profit off something you came up with.

Shit I missed a chance there. Anyway, I have got loads of hot ideas for original bitcoin businesses so maybe one will take off. My new retailing technique for selling my T-shirts is definitely something I am keeping to myself for now. Nobody is doing anything like it at the moment but once I roll it out to my first agents, everyone will be doing it. A small sample of my new designs can be seen here http://thevillageidiotme.ipage.com/shop.htmlbut the marketing technique is only available to those who contact me, build some trust and then get involved. It will be rolled out in the next few weeks. You could become part of a retailing revolution. It is that good.

It could work. There's already airbnb but they take fat commissions. I would enjoy a bitcoin-based service with lower fees. But you'd need to spend a lot in marketing to begin.

Building the website is not something I would take on myself. What I'm now sorry about is putting the brilliant domain name out there before registering it. But hey ho, that's life. Win some lose some.

www.stayforabit.comWas genius, sorry about losing the domain man. But meh, that's life I guess, no point in crying over spilled milk. Entrepreneurs vulture this forum for ideas day and night, still 90% that the person that stole the idea will not finish it.

I agree, but I like the idea You seem a little bit anti social, do you really think I wouldn't be able to take care of your apartment? I mean there will be many people who are far from responsible but there will also be many very responsible open minded individuals who can be just as awesome as you.

Well you wouldn't let a complete stranger live in your house so it seems like a meeting would be appropriate.

The original idea I had was for the host to remain in the property with the visitor not leave them to themselves.

I think we have no choice, we must create a trust rating blockchain. Anyone can create a personal key, whenever they want, other members will rate them on hospitality and survival rate. The lower the score you know not too many made it out alive.
