since last saturday, eth price has advanced 14%, raising its market cap to $26.8 billion. eth is now trading at $283, placing it within striking distance of the $300 threshold.
It is just because bitcoins are increasing in price and we all know that it is the market trend of all altcoins including eth to follow the footsteps of the bitcoins. Eth is going to shoe some more increase in value by the end of this year because bitcoins are highly expected to touch 5k dollars by then. If you are holding eth, try not to give up on these coins. That is the more logical explanation. If your alt is going up at a rate more or less equal to Bitcoin, like it currently is showing, then this isn't down to the alt's particular strength. ETH has always, other than its own spikes and dips, followed Bitcoin's trend, just like the majority of alts out there. You want to know if the alt is doing well? In this case, ETH? Then compare the past Bitcoin prices to its own markings. The last time ETH was at $300 were at Aug 8 and June 28. On Aug 8, BTC was $3440. On June 28, BTC was $2540. So you can see, at each time ETH reached $300, BTC was only growing stronger and stronger. |

From my observation ethereum and bitcoin are two close digital currencies with bitcoin leading the way on which direction eth and other altcoins will take, usaully if bitcoin dips ethereum follows through and when there is a bitcoin pump equally ethereum rides this wave...but imo when it comes to buying cryptocurrencies this should be done when money is there regardless of price because you can always make a profit at all rates.

Exactly, many people don't follow these things because they will bother about ETH price. First of all, people should understand ETH will always follow the price of Bitcoin and this year it is very hard to raise its price but in the next year, ETH price will reach to more than 500$. |

Exactly, many people don't follow these things because they will bother about ETH price. First of all, people should understand ETH will always follow the price of Bitcoin and this year it is very hard to raise its price but in the next year, ETH price will reach to more than 500$. this year very hard to raise price? Man check out they prices in previous winter you gonna be suprissed |

In October, after apply completed Metropolis in Ethereum chain, the price of Ethereum will increase to moon, even it can creates new ATH price why? first of all this fork is not doing anything good for ethereum it will only benefit the whales of it who own a large sum of ethereum (millions) who will be earning a lot more money from the rewards they get for doing nothing. secondly if any pump were to come, it would have came before the real thing. which means if the fork is in October, the pump should have came NOW. look at any other coin including bitcoin. you can see for example the rise regarding activation of SegWit came before the real activation and after the activaion it slowed down and then stopped. |

It currently appears to be in an equilibrium pattern if you look at ETH on the daily charts. If it continues this pattern then it should go down again to form a higher low on the daily/4hour charts. After such a huge run up, it is good to have an extended (read: healthy) conslidation period. Saying this, a bit of news could easily knock it out of this pattern.

Most probably ETH will recover. We believe that such well structured protocol has almost infinite potential of growth.
Check how many platforms built on Ethereum blockchain. Many of those accept only ETH as utility, therefore demand for this coin will grow

Ethereum for me was a good coin to hold in a long term. Not seeing any dump nor pump of Ethereum prices for now. Been awhile since this coin had a massive pump and dump. Might drop by a few percent but not that significant.

If you ask me, Eth is the only altcoin that I see having some future. It is a good crypto coin and can give more profits than any other altcoin. It does not mean that I like this digital asset. I just see some potential in it. It will definitely recover soon because bitcoin are making progress also and that affects all other crypto currencies greatly. The real digital asset is bitcoin only. |
