Looking for some opinions of people who have been around the block.

How will the hard fork affect the price of Bitcoin and alts?

And would you rather buy now or wait until November? Or perhaps simply DCA?

i prefer to wait it because like a hardfork before the price of bitcoin and alt goes down together
and after the blockchain stable, the price goes up together too

Price may go down or may not go down after the hardfork as everyone was expecting that price will crash after August 1st but nothing happened and price kept on moving in positive direction so if you are planning to invest in altcoin with good volume and good reputation then without wasting your time you can buy it now and hold it for the right time.

Bitcoin is gonna hit 100K usd

I would strongly suggest you to wait. The Bitcoin has always driven the price of all altcoins. So if it sanked it drowned all altcoin with it. It's so unpredictable like a Titanic, but the best you can do is wait for the hard fork.

Well it depends on the alt you are trying to get into imo. If its more of a shitcoin then you dont need to wait because those markets are relatively uneffected by that. If its mid to high cap then yeah waiting

is just fine. But I did hear on a podcast on youtube today that the hardfork may infact not happen. If that turns out to be true, then whatever you are after you should buy whenever you can!

I'm looking to buy FCT - Factom. It's at #34 on the list on CoinMarketcap right now....

Would love to pick them up on the cheap. Now seems like an alright opportunity but who knows for sure?

Your right must better to wait what happen in november but we must be ready when it will come the hardfork. we do not know if they going down the value of the altcoins or the bitcoin, and i think the bitcoin will be going rise.

This may be sound like a dumb question, but will BTC holders get an equal amount of new coins from the upcoming hard fork?

I believe it will be a repeat of what we saw in July/August. Altcoins crashed because people pulled their money out and into bitcoin. Bitcoin price will be manipulated lower before the fork so the whales can buy as many bitcoins for as cheap as possible to get free money from the new coin.

It might be the other way around. Before the hard fork there could be holders who will make sure that their bitcoins are protected so their option could be the altcoins to preserve the value. Of course they wont turn it into cash.
If ever that will happen there will be growth in altcoins prices. We have different opinions here and I see a lot of them wants to be safe before an event in bitcoin happens.

I suggest to wait for it because at that time the coin price will go down and you can buy as much as possible and then sell it at high price after hardfork.

@HODL It. The best trading advice would be to have more fiat ready in case the price goes down on November. Why would you buy altcoins if it is also dumped if bitcoin is dumped?

It actually depends, probably if bitcoins falls after hardfork on November alts such as Ethereum wont fall. Anyway as you said prepare the fiat to buy when the price goes down is it a good idea to buy now market rate fluct between 4k and 4.5k and is a good way to profit til November arrives.

If I am inclined to be able to buy right now because to anticipate the sudden rise of coin prices then we can make use of in order to get a commensurate outcome of the initial process and even increase revenue. than buying coins in November is too long.

Buy now, it comes cheap. Sell before the dip when we will be approaching November. By November, buy again, provided the fork will indeed happen. Well, even if it will not happen, the FUDs will still effectively bring the price down, so you can still buy at a highly discounted price.

I think that you can not wait with the purchase of crypto currency. Now is the time to buy it. After the recent general fall of bitcoin and almost all altcoins began to grow in value. I think that their recovery begins in the previous course and further growth after negative information from China. Therefore, if anyone wants to acquire a crypto currency, it is better to buy it now, otherwise there is a general tendency to increase the rate and it is possible not to have time to do it.

it better to have a plan A and B mate, this coming fork will be another deciding moment whether  it will fly up or it will be a complete downfall for his
value. so better to split your money buy little by little until the time comes and who knows it will be another double for us like what previously happen
when hard fork was done.
