Greetings,

I saw people claiming 29+ mh/s in eth mining on rx470 4gb with Elpida ram.

I'm no way near those speeds with my card.
My card is doing around 25 mh/s. All I did was copied the straps from 1500 to higher frequencies and OC'd memory to around 1950.

That's probably not enough to get maximum hashrate out of it, but I'm curious is 29+ mh/s even possible, or likely.

Thanks Smiley

you might be able to get over 28 out of it easily.

you will need the crimson beta driver.

you need to OC the memory to 2000 or more if stable. min 1900.

you can slightly under volt it a little to save power but too much undervolt would also reduce hashrate.

You're right I totally forgot about those mining optimized drivers they introduced.

I've tried 2000 mem OC and my testbed froze. :\

Could that be due to rom mod that I did (copying straps from 1500 upwards)?

copying straps is right.

my 570 4g was only around 25-26 after OC and bios mod.

it went to 28.5+ after changing driver.

With blockchain drivers and XFX RX 470 elpida memory I get 28.7mhs , core-1167/mem-1940 @ 0.875v - core and 0.900v mem , about 66W power shown in MSI AB , Afterburner settings -96mv , core 1167 , mem 1940 , no mem errors , bios modded with same performance strap that is included in latest polaris editor 1.6 , I find it before here in forums and used it from then , that's max I can get memory overclock , when passed 1945-1950mhz everything stuck , black screen , blue screen or so on and need to force restart , tried many different straps before , even stocks can not get to pass 1950mhz mem, even tried to lower mem voltage but stuck here too , cannot lower voltage more than 0.875/0.900 , tried bios edit mem voltages from 1000 to 950/900 and no work , edit core pointer from 8 to 6 and above and no work , and in one moment stopped buzzing this card anymore , it's a very tricky card and I cant get it to pass this settings more.  If someone have any more success with xfx 470 elpidas and is willing to share, you are wellcome.

After installing blockchain drivers result is 27,8 Mh/s. That's... well... better but not impressive.
