How big of a deal is it? Is it something to really think over?

Im upgrading GTX from my stoneage GTX 260 and im looking in the GTX 1060 6GB and beyond markets.

Im seeing,

Gigabyte, ASUS, MSI... some cards pre-OC... open face/closed face cards...1, 2 or 3 fans....

From a mining point of view, do I just go for the cheapest hardware? How mch is hash rate effected by each different manufacturer ?

Single GPU Miner - Zotac GTX1070 8GB Mini
Still early days, aiming bigger in time

I never had any issues with cards from MSI in the past so personally I'd go with them. Much more important is the memory manufacturer. If you've any chance to check in advance get a card with Samsung memory.
