Hello Fellow Miner,

I am using ethminer for Nvidia Cards as the hashrate is same as claymore. the cards are 6 GB. Rigs Uptime was 9 hrs.

But using claymore I am getting around 2-3 % stale shares in windows 7.

Worker      Reported Rate   Current Rate      Average 24h      Shares 1h    Stale 1h  Rejected 1h Updated
win_CLM   147.3 MH/s   147.4 MH/s   153.8 MH/s   132 (99%)     1 (1%)   0 (0%)     9 minutes ago
win_CLM1 142.7 MH/s   132.9 MH/s   131.3 MH/s   117 (97%)     4 (3%)   0 (0%)     9 minutes ago

but using ethminer I am getting around 15-20 % stale shares in ethos 1.2.4

Worker      Reported Rate   Current Rate      Average 24h      Shares 1h    Stale 1h       Rejected 1h Updated
ethos_eth       -                130.8 MH/s   116.4 MH/s   106 (85%)      18 (15%)   0 (0%)   9 minutes ago
ethos_eth1     -             135.4 MH/s   117.7 MH/s   118 (95%)      6 (5%)           0 (0%)   9 minutes ago
ethos_eth2     -             134.7 MH/s   115.9 MH/s   105 (81%)      25 (19%)   0 (0%)   10 minutes ago

(stats from pool ethermine.org using the nearest server)

The internet connection is perfectly fine and same for both the above rigs.

any ideas why so?

Should I shift to claymore or any other miner ? or is it just random?

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

hi, for how log did you mine ?
For one thing I know ethminer have 2 stratum module, and one is very inefficient.
You may have a version that use this old stratum module.
From what I remember about claymore's, he re-write the stratum module and it look freakin optimal.
To be sure, try another miner (genoil for example is supposed to have a stratum module quite optimal).

good luck
