I've been using guiminer for a while, but since there seems to be more tweaking ability with running cgminer directly, I thought I'd try it out.

I've seen the examples of creating a .bat file to start cgminer, but piling all the parameters onto one line is rather cumbersome, and I can't see how to deal with multiple GPU settings that way either.

I see all these example .conf files (even the one in the cgminer folder), but when I create a "cgminer.conf" file in the same directory as cgminer, then I open cgminer directly (not with .bat), it starts asking for URL to connect to, completely ignoring what I have entered in my cgminer.conf file.

I'm on windows 7 x64. What does it take to get cgminer to use that .conf file for its parameters?
