According LiveStars whitepaper:

These guys aims to create improved webcam platform with many solutions provided against existing problems and one of them is lack of user anonymity.

Wow,this is a huge problem.I`ve never thought about this.I was using Chaturbate a few years ago,now i don`t use webcam sites.I thought that porn websites won`t store sensitive personal data because they are regulated.What if they start to blackmail users?It`s obvious that we need a cryptocurrency webcam platform with anonymous payments and no user data stored in a database.

How are you going to stop competitors from stealing your idea and concept, if you go the open-source route? The adult entertainment scene is highly competitive and proprietary code will give them the edge over other sites. Yes, it will be transparent, but it might welcome lazy competitors. ^hmmmmm^

Open source code also make it easier for hackers to find exploits in the code. < It might also be beneficial when other developers can help to spot these exploits, before they are exploited by these hackers >

I believe this question is not addressed to me, you should ask it in Live Stars ann thread. Devs might know better.
As for me open source always means more secure. As I see most of projects goes to open source nowadays and it is good practice.

Money is everything, and everybody has done anything to earn money.
including legalizing destructive things like pornography. Some countries legalize it but there are still countries that prohibit it. and there are legal rules for its users. I'm not interested.

Not sure how webcam user anonymity can "help" criminals to do their dirty jobs. I guess you misunderstood the simple dating app with webcam site.

I've read some of an article before that when their website is taken down because of the hackers and those personal information of all the users that's saved in their database has been compromised. And the attacker is trying to blackmail the owner of the website that they will spread all of the users name and personal information to the media. This is alarming if you are one of the users there smh.
