In Proof-of-Stake approach nodes also try to hash data in search for a result lower than a defined data though the difficulty in this case is spread proportionally in accordance with the balance of a given node. In other words, it is spread in accordance with the number of coins (tokens) on a user’s balance. Thus, a node with a higher balance has more chances to generate a new block.
