Better to buy how many days before an important event like those ones ?
The same day ? 1 day before ? more ?

just after the end of the updates, must be up to date and monitor the currency in the platforms like poloniex and bittrex if you are trader
but it is preferable to buy just before the updates, but everything remains subordinate to the Bitcoin too, if the Bitcoin falls, the currencies collapse back

Great tips here. I think milestones like these will always bring along some growth in value of the coins mentioned. Pumps happen during announcements of partnerships and new level in their project's roadmaps.

I will be using this thread constantly if it gets updated because I completely agree with this guy:

The simple strategy "buy the rumours, sell the news" has worked great for majority of altcoins so far. I am buying as soon as a rumour hits twitter/reddit/slack and hold until the event is over, often selling hours after the sharpest rally.

Gradually, altcoins will probably tend to show similar behaviour that we see in stock market. Rumours would be swallowed by highly efficient markets and you would be uncertain about direction after news appearence.

Buy the rumors, sell the news. Profit.

I always update information about altcoin, and it seems that before the event a few days to the day the event takes place, the price of that coin will increase. Of course it depends on the importance of the event and depends on the shark. Therefore, it is important to update the news frequently and buy at  the appropriate time. I do not deny that there will be cases of events but coin does not increase and  decrease (less happens) due to market case bad news.

I did well with the SYS wallet release and GRS dev update. Both jumped considerably before the actual release, but then died afterwards. Buy the rumor, sell the news is definitely the way to go from what I have seen so far.

Take a look at Mysterium, new development update should be published by the devs at the end of the month. The market seems to be anticipating this already, trading volumes on Bittrex increased quite a lot and an uptrend seems to be forming.

It is a nice way to get some extra profit. Following the news and reading blogs/websites is timeconsuming, but can be very interesting to know when to buy.
