if it goes parabolic for too long, then I feel it makes take longer to recover in the longer term after the correction. This kind of dip or down, makes me think we have not see an all time high yet, and that the price has a higher floor.

I hope this wont go parabolic because you are right that if it does, it will take a longer time to recover. Even if that is the case, I feel happy about this because this is yet another good opportunity of buying cheap bitcoins. Also these current dip hints that there will probably be another one soon so it will be a better opportunity to buy again. I expect price to go down more until september ends and we will see bullish market again probably by next month.

Well said. I actually think that bitcoin is going to recover much quicker if the dump happened quicker as well.

However the correction that we are currently seeing is based off FUD and probably will not be the last dump that we see. it is much more likely that we see a recovery back up to $4500+ and potentially reach another all time high.

But you're absolutely right. The longer the bubble goes for, the longer the recovery is going to be.

I know the dip is just for a time being I hope it won't turn into any sort of a parabolic  but today I am a little disappointed with the bitcoin price as I am in need of cash and I want to change a little of my holdings into fiat. As it's at the same time and opportunity for the buyers because currently bitcoin price is less than $4k. I can wait for two working days only to sell my bitcoin, let's see what happens to the price in the next two days if it remains lower than  $4000 then I am not sure I am gonna sell my bitcoin. If it goes higher then I will be delighted. To those who are looking to buy bitcoin it's the right time, it seems like bitcoin is gonna recover it's price soon giving you people a handsome amount of profit.

Longer and bigger the pumps(and the bubble) goes for, the bigger the task of recovery is going to be. I think that is something that everyone can agree on. The dump is going to be much bigger as well, if the price was too high for too long.

I would really rather see bitcoin at a more modest level that it belongs to like $2k-3k, than $4k+ which i feel the price is artificially high and could be dumped at any time.

Though this panic dump is not likely to be the last... A recovery should be underway soon taking btc to newer heights, before a big dump.

Clarity still hasn't been given about Chinese exchanges: when that comes in, and China will indeed ban free trade of BTC, you can rest assured the market will move more violently. Why would you still mine Bitcoins if you cannot pay for your electricity bills? A mining conglomerate however could sign the BTC's still in their possession on foreign exchanges, and the same goes for large holders of BTC in China. You won't be able to get it into China easily, but at least you will have gotten USD's for it.

Mind you: this might very well happen in the next days, weeks and months.

An asset cannot appreciate forever, and I think BTC already reached  its peak. The charts are starting to show clear signs of saturation and start pointing out to a late 2013/early 2014 like scenario.  I cannot exclude the possibility of Bitcoin rising to new highs though, but I consider it to be especially unlikely at this point. In the world of crypto that means one thing: down we go. Up to 80% in the worst case, spread out of months and years.

Try Margin trade.

If you dont like on losing money or going down investments then bitcoin isnt really for you because we all know here that prices do really dips and price corrections do really happen. If its parabolic as being said recovery might really be seen soon and would takes time to recover but instead of worrying better to see this as an golden opportunity to buy more cheaper coins and be ready on the new ATH later on.Patience is a must on this kind of investment.

2013 aftermath has been painted mostly by BTCe selling bitcoin enthusiast their former Mt.Gox coins. Since that bussiness has slowed down somewhat, protagonists lodging in a correctional facility, the market corrections are more looking like smallish dips in a bullish chart these days.
Golden opportunity instead of worrying. About China banning Bitcoin? China invented Bitcoin mining... rumors are goverment backing up those farms.

But i don't know why it seems the chart will be so difficult to rebound, as far as i know a lot of sides are attacking the bitcoin and all of the crypto anytime in this moment, I should believe about the big dip will be happened as soon as possible.

Every dip is an opportunity to buy at a cheaper price and people who are interested to enter Bitcoin or add more on their arsenal have much better opportunity right now. Days or weeks after there is a big possibility that Bitcoin can rise again and then the profits will start trickling in. Those who have the plan to hold long-term should decide now whether it is time to be a part of the Bitcoin bandwagon as the time has come. Those rumors about China are still the alibi why the market is on the dumping mood and am already tired of that...hope that by next week the market would choose to ignore this China thing.

Bitcoin will always dip up and down. Like in anything real in this world, it will have its good and bad days. However, I think we can certainly expect lots more from Bitccoin's price in the near future. It looks like Bitcoin is falling again and is currently @3900 USD as of this moment.

We should still be able to see the price grow back in a matter of days, if not hours.

On the long term we are still bullish, right. Keep calm, carry on.

Those are just market moves. People selling lended money, perhaps. I would not have the nerves to do that.
Only a fatal accident would turn the paper. Next critical pathpoint could be the further development of the Segwit2x agreement. Any player acting defect over there could bring real misery.

If you look at the logarithmic chart, the price was not bubbled, and it could have sustained an increase to $6000 before it went for a correction. What we are seeing is weak hands being shaken as noobs panic sell due the Chinese+JP Morgan nonsensical FUD.

Once these weak hands are shaken, we will recover. My only worry when it comes to fundamentals for Bitcoin, is the segwit2x stupid hardfork by stupid Jeff Garzik in november, that could crash the market for a while, but after we get 0.15 and everyone updates their nodes, it will be the nail in the coffin for segwit2x and we will go to ATH.

Unless relieving news come from China best scenario is dead cat bounce to about 4000$ ( max. ) and price between 3400-3800$ for the rest of week.
Very bad news can drive the price down to about 3000$ though.

I feel the same way. As long as BTC quickly corrects any larger growth spurts we're within a healthy market. Even if this really marks the beginning of a new bear market, as long as BTC doesn't deflate as dramatically as it used to it's definitely an improvement over previous market corrections. A stable market is a good market and unfortunately corrections are needed for improved market stability.

dunno about you but i dont like losing money..

Pull yourself together. When you bought into BTC you should have been fully aware that corrections happen and prolonged bear markets may occur. You only lose money once you sell. If you invested more than you could afford to lose get out with what you need until you reach an investment level that you feel psychologically able to hold for a couple years should things turn south.
