Hello!

I know its not new but since Bittrex requires your personal data in order to be able to withdraw your BTC & alt coins are you still using it?

Unverified Accounts created before 08/01/17: 0.025 BTC (or equivalent) per day
Unverified Accounts created on or after 08/01/17: 0 BTC (or equivalent) per day

I actually never withdraw anything from my Bittrex account since beginning, its a keep trading account. Yesterday however, I needed to transfer some alt coins to another address and boom, I can only withdraw 0.025BTC I would need days if not weeks to make the full transaction. I got the message to open an enchanted account to withdraw more send my name, address, phone nr and ID + photo.

^^^ That is not going to happen! So Me for my part I will withdraw now all my balance at Bittrex and close the account.. It will take a lot of time to do so and this is depressing, because I will loose a lot of profit...

I never saw any message telling me about this rule, however I know its legally my fault I didn't read the TOS, but you know that is just not the way to run business. Me for my part I do not trust Bittrex anymore. They are USA based company and we all know what does that mean in regards of privacy....

How do you deal with this personal data verification?

Are you still using Bittrex?

Are you not worry about your data, trading history, money?

Well i've definitely heard others complain about them having to submit verification in order for them to be able to withdraw from Bittrex, however personally i have not actually been asked for any sort of ID even though i'm constantly withdrawing 0.1 BTC or more.

I have no idea why this is the case, maybe it's because my account was set up when bittrex was still young, though they have no official rule about this in their FAQ.

I wouldn't take the risk of having a lot of money on bittrex if you aren't comfortable with ID verification. Not worth it, use shapeshift instead which is guaranteed to be anonymous.

I always recommended Bittrex for everyone that was looking for an exchange. Recently, I lost access to an old account that was created with my old email (that I can't access anymore), therefore I created a new account and deposited a small amount of altcoins worth something close to ~$50 to trade it to BTC and withdraw.

I tried to do the basic verification and they asked for my phone, which I tried to use to verify and be able to withdraw my ~$50 of BTC. The problem is that I used the same phone as my old account by mistake. Now, they want me to do a fully verification and a fullfill a bunch of requests to be able to use my new account - which IMO is not worth the time for just $50.

Instead, I tried to send them an email explaining the situation and they never cared enought to answer me.

I've never heard about bittrex asking for verified until I came across some posts here as I have an account with them that's over 1 year old. I don't have any limit I guess on withdrawals as at times I've withdrawn over 0.4 BTC without any issue and I guess that's the case with many old accounts. They have started asking for verification for accounts created in 2017 mostly and I don't have any issue getting my account verified as I've never faced any issue with their withdrawals or deposits and their support has been more responsive compared to others. It's not so unsafe to verify your account if you daily trade in high amounts.

however I know its legally my fault I didn't read the TOS

Has anyone actually looked at their TOS @ https://bittrex.com/Home/Terms ?

There's no mention of withdrawal requirements.

I've documented my experience here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2068133.msg21148174#msg21148174

5.2 Sending Virtual Currency to an External Virtual Currency Address. Provided that the balance of Virtual Currency in your Bittrex Account is greater than any minimum balance requirements needed to satisfy any of your open positions, you may send any amount of Virtual Currency, up to the total amount of Virtual Currency in your Bittrex Account, in excess of such minimum balance requirements, from your Hosted Wallet to an External Virtual Currency Address, less any fees charged by Bittrex for such transactions (as described in the Fee Schedule (as defined in Section Cool at the time of your request to push Virtual Currency to an External Virtual Currency Address). You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the External Virtual Currency Address that you provide, and Bittrex shall not be liable for sending Virtual Currency from your Hosted Wallet to an incorrect External Virtual Currency Address if that address matches the address you provided to us.

... Not worth it, use shapeshift instead which is guaranteed to be anonymous.

The problem with Shapeshift is that the fees are multiple times higher than at Bittrex.
It is getting increasingly difficult to open an account at an altcoin exchange without having
to verify your identity.

-Bittrex requires verification
-Shapeshift and Changelly have too high fees
-Poloniex support is terrible and you have to wait several weeks for simple requests
-Liqui has scam accusations against it
...

Which altcoin exchange is reputable, can be used without verification and has acceptable fees?

There is/was absolutely no clear communication about major feature changes and connected limitations. Writing somewhere on the homepage something about it is poor. I need to search for it to know whats going on...

Such major change needs to be communicated by account creation IMHO!

Anyway moving all coins away from Bittrex, who knows what will be next....
