why not buy some pass through shares. You can do that as a newbie.

If you don't want big amounts that is the way to go, because they are easier to trade.

Also the TAT ASICMiner shares are 1/100 of a share each so if you can't afford a whole share, you can still get in on the action.

They only give out 95% though, so if you can afford an ASICMINER-PT share it's better than 100 TAT ASICMiner shares (at least if you pay the same for them)

True, but at the moment TAT pays out Divs on 0 confirmations from ASICMINER, which is pretty sweet. This means if you're quick enough you can get 2 sets of Divs by selling your TAT shares and buying ASIMiner-PT shares. Wink

I am thinking about buying 2 or 3 shares, maybe on one of the auctions but i can`t answer or post anything in those threads. If i have to write 4-5 posts to get there i just have to do that.

Why not buy one of the passthroughs, they're more trade-able and you don't need the 5 posts. Also a lot of auctions won't deal with small orders like 2-3 shares

I already tried using a PT, worked nice. but I guess it sounds much cooler to own it directly. Nothing much to add really.

Superb. Thanks a lot.  Smiley

How often and how much BTC`s per share goes to the shareholders?

Is a real Share the same as an Pass through?

the ASICMINER-PT shares get 100% of the dividends paid.

The TAT-ASICMiner shares get 95%.

The dividend amount varies each week, but the last few weeks it's been about BTC0.03 per share (or 0.0003 for the TAT shares)

For those two shares the dividends are weekly. The amount of BTCs varies, you can look it up at btct.co (click on ASICMINER-PT and then on history)

No, it depends on the contract with the one who makes the pass-through. In this case it's similar, you don't have the same voting-rights but you get 100% of the profit. (/95% on the small ones)

Both Burnside and Thick as Thieves do an incredibly good job with regards to their passthroughs. Never had any issues with either of them.

I need to get some shares myself as well. Me my bro and one of our friends pitched in on an Avalon ASIC batch #3 first day they went one sale. We barely had enough BTC to get one. I would love some more shares as well.
