30 minutes before the "grand reopening" and 90% of users still have no email confirmation of account claim.

No surprise, classic GOX.  Ive been Goxed about 12 times this week.  the frustration is tangible everywhere in the BTC community.

The whole thing hinging on one/two guys...the irony of a decentralized currency. Roll Eyes

Yeah, I got goxed a couple times today. Lost 2BTC directly to goxing, and my engine temp in my truck goxed on the way home. Thankfully it was just low fluid - let it cool and put some coolant in, all better, but still, didn't need goxed like that.

They've got my damned money, have made me jump through hoops to get it back, and I still don't know what the hell is going on. I want my fucking money.

I propose a new site named Mt Cox, where you basically climb to the top of the mountain, and push the summit of Mt. Cox right into your butthole, and then tell people you're not pushing a Mountain of Cox into their butthole.

Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.

GOXED:  Fluxomed, Misled, Frustrated by inaccuracies, withholding of monetary information or resources and non transparency in dealing with BitCoin.

example:  "That jerk sold me a NVDA graphics card, hes got my BTC, and I have no NVDA graphics card.  He keeps emailing me though, Ive been totally GOXED!!!" (or "this is a GOXY situation")

I am very seriously considering quoting this for my sig. Someone needs to archive this for posterity.

loolololol we've all been totally been Goxed

what's more scary though - what if they re-open trading with still 90% people un-claimed.... the price is going to be back at 0 before you'll even be able to sell the bitcoins they have of yours

i'd like to re-iterate the sentiment above with another:

GIVE ME BACK MY FUCKING MONEY

Mt Gox did everything right and professional.  If you want to see un-professionalism look at the Fed and the U.S. federal government - what a mess.  Board seems full of plants.

25 minutes to go and no response email here. As far as I'm concerned, I'll be withdrawing anything I've got there and jumping ship to TradeHill.

This is the most hilarious thing I've read in a long time!  Grin

Seriously though, I hope MtGox AND TradeHill survive. I want competition.

+/-1

con I personally like the large volume both surviving will reduce it for each of them.
Pro hopefully fees will grow smaller through competition
