What is the Kudos protocol?

The Kudos protocol gives businesses across all service-based industries the ability to reinforce optimal behavior/engagement for users and workers alike via programming user rewards using Kudos and rewarding workers according to performance based ratings, respectively. No deep understanding of blockchain technology will be necessary, as the protocol will layer directly on top of existing payment processing and POS systems. Thus, Kudos will become the first mainstream protocol and token for everyday use across all service economies that are sustained by users and workers. Kudos will become essential infrastructure for real businesses today -- from ridesharing to coffee shops to restaurants -- and become the backbone of web 3.0, blockchain-based businesses tomorrow.

Who is behind Kudos?

Kudos is initially being built by the Skedaddle team to be integrated into the Skedaddle app to grow in initial value. The protocol will then be managed by an independent non-profit, the Kudos Foundation to facilitate expansion. Skedaddle will be one of many future businesses to integrate the protocol and join the ecosystem.

Skedaddle has raised significant venture capital from Arena Ventures, Aspect Ventures, Corigin Ventures, Abstract Ventures, the founders of Seamless, and more. The Skedaddle platform is currently used by tens of thousands of riders each month in major metropolitan cities across the United States and Canada. We have built a rapidly growing network of riders by serving routes to events and popular weekend destinations, and offering comfortable and convenient rides for commuters.

Skedaddle is legit and the Kudos protocol concept definitely has potential BUT their timeline seems a bit sketchy. Why hold a token sale so early? It's not scheduled to launch on Skedaddle until Q2 of 2018, and it won't be open to other businesses for at least a year.
That also means you'd have to wait at least 12-18 months before you see any growth.

Agreed, initialize! Not only are there too many review platforms which are largely inconsistent with each other, but I can hardly decipher a legit review from an ad these days. Blockchain offers real promise for bringing legitimacy back to reviews and it looks like Kudos is at the forefront of that.
