BURGER KING NOW HAS ITS OWN CRYPTOCURRENCY

25 August 2017 - Burger King has just announced its own cryptocurrency in Russia... so I think Bitcoin has a better future since a lot of business establishment today has already adopted techno currency... this will not be far that bitcoins will increase its value again... If this food chain has just made it own... Maybe China will do the same... coming up soon.....

Is this real news or fake? A few months back there was another rumor that Burger King is accepting Bitcoins in Russia. That one turned out to be false. Now I am not sure about this news article. I just hope that it is not just another rumor. I would have preferred them accepting Bitcoins. But at this point, any crypto-currency will do the job.

OP didn't even provide a link, so it can't be verified.  I think it's false
news, but I could be wrong.  There was a thread last month about
BK accepting bitcoin I think, but not about them creating their own
coin.  Might not be a bad idea, but I don't think it would catch on
unless you could earn it as rewards or something.

if the news is true, then it will bring something new in crypto currency world and I am sure that the other offline big company will do the same and follow the way. but its better if the OP can give valid links so we can visit that links and read the news beside that we can know is it real or not.

This news is actually true, and outdated. There was a lot of commotion about this last month (August 2017) and its actually funny to read things like:

“Now Whopper is not only burger that people in 90 different countries love — it’s an investment tool as well. According to the forecasts, cryptocurrency will increase exponentially in value. Eating Whoppers now is a strategy for financial prosperity tomorrow.”

I wonder if we will see this WhopperCoin on bittrex or poloniex soon lol.

  ya true that Maybe instead of killing the cryptocurrency market china wants to launch their own that could dominate bitcoins 😯 nice thought... Besides burger king one won't be much prevalent in developing countries..
Since the bitcoins were launched a lot of cryptocurrencies are being launched but ppl will still invest in bitcoins.... I guess

I'm looking forward for this project though its not been really forecast here from where am I located even burger king already established from here,
and seems that its only russia who have this coin right now, but still it can be a game changer in terms of crypto uses if this coin succeed and most
of their branches started to adopt it can be a good investment to hold for the future.

Well its not always that cryptocurrencies are connected to china but even if this news is not verified, chances are we might pay burger in bitcoin or the coin that they would call it. And it just said it was announced so there might be still few years before there could be anyl launching of that certain coin. This could also mean long term because it is not really easy to have your own coin and that also depends on what platform they would use.
