I have sync issues with the wallet, first time I can't resolve that. It stays "out of sync"

Am I a newb for being alarmed the wallet won't sync?  How is this resolved (what are we waiting for)?

I just saw the client lose and regain its connection before it finally sync'd up.

Give it a few minutes or delete the node entries and try. I do not have any nodes, btw..

This is a common problem with alts. and only effects the sync status.  From what I understand someone is trying to derail the best coins by injecting the litecoin blockchain unsuccessfully.  I usually shut down the wallet and restart it.  It may say out of sync again but you can still send and receive transactions.  I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I can add more about this.
