I've been solo mining Memecoin for about a day, average hashrate 540 kH/s, and my ratio of rejects to accepts is maybe 3:1. Total block accepts: 10, as recognized by the network. Total blocks found but rejected, about 30. Shocked Huh Angry Sad

W . . . T . . . H??!  Angry

(And I swear the miner reported a block found, but then the block was never even reported to the network, and simply vanished into thin air. Is this what others mean when they say "poof?")

Block generation target time MUST be quite fairly slower than this, or smaller-time miners are screwed. Faster generation for (supposedly) more profit simply does not work--profit for who? For whoever hashes faster--even though five competing miners just found the same block (because they can be found so relatively quickly). Rejects are not fun, I can't even imagine what in the world you mean by that, Mr. Developer.

I thought I saw mentions of Memecoin pools and p2p pools somewhere in here, and haven't explored those: anyone who is having great luck with those, please respond to this post to notify.

I may give that p2pool a try (and carefully follow their setup instructions to do so), thx. Hope it's a better experience than whatever was going on with solo mining.

(And I'm confused by other posts here which seem to report only a good experience solo mining = few rejects. What different variables were in play that gave them those good results? Or am I misreading or misremembering? . . . )

Network seems fucked. I still can't connect to any peers despite adding these. I can verify my client is attempting to connect to them.

A transaction from a mining pool to Crypsy still hasn't shown up in an hour (Nothing to do with my client).
