Can someone please tell me the following?

1. What is the difficulty of this coin right now?

2. Is this coin dead/dying? Should I even mine it?

Thanks!

Current difficulty is 2.80990841

The network, coin etc. work, people are mining it.

Hey thanks so much! Can you tell me where you got that figure, so I know a reliable, accurate place to look (i.e. NOT wheretomine).

I suppose if the client is like the otehrs.. you can load it up and ask for difficulty in A CMD box

for bitcoin it was

bitcoind getdifficulty (the d stood for the server at the time)

its been ages there have probably been minor changes but bet you can get diff from the client.. it would be kinda retarded to not let it do so, as it connects to the block chain and would be the most accurate place for that.

and yeah.. fuck wheretomine.

coinwarz seems more accurate but they have issues too.

I usually use the getinfo rpc call. But for convenience just watch the dashboard of the pool. Smiley
It also provides nice prediction (almost always wrong, but in a range) of the next difficulty.

Yeah I haven't even started mining yet, so I don't have any idea what a "getinfo rpc call" is. lol I'm just asking as many questions as possible so I have a bit of knowledge going in. Wink Care to explain what that is?

Welcome to  new multicoin pool.
http://www.coinmine.pw

Pool uses self-made software and its Beta testing phase now.
But everything should work fine.  Smiley

  • Stratum protocol
  • VAR DIFFiculty
  • Block founder don't pay mining fee!
  • One registration and statistics for all pools
  • Automatic payouts every 5 minutes
  • No payout fees!

Will be happy if you'll point some miners here.  Smiley
0% mining fee during beta testing period!
