With say 15000 claims left to verify, this will take a 10 man team 3 days to solve if they do a claim every 3 minute round'the clock.

According to MT, there are 4 people working on this now. It's going to take it's while guys... My guess is that we will see more delays.

Password strength was supposed to be checked over 2 days ago, why are not those (good passwords) 100% verified?

I have no idea. I had a very strong password. That I find it impossible anyone would be able to bruteforce without using an insane amount of processing time. But there's no point in speculating really, we just have to wait.

Correct, except this time it seemed like the waiting was over.
Notice how the threads complaining about "only 1 hour before trading" seem to have been forgotten now?   Cheesy

In case anyone doesn't know:
Every single person who had a strong password should already be verified by the automated system they supposedly used.

I will only complicate you.
Trust in me and fall as well.
I will find a center in you.
I will chew it up and leave,
I will work to elevate you
just enough to bring you down.

+1 for the tool quote.

I think Mt. Gox will come back online eventually. I kinda don't think it'll be in 24 hours. I think these guys are just lacking in PR skills at this point.

Oh well, at least now I can wait and maybe see it open slow over the weekend instead of mad trading rush during my normal sleep hours.

I still don't understand with the financial resources they have, they insist on running it like amateurs.  I think Tux needs to cash out his coins and just let a professional run it for him.
Simple fact: Businesses often scale faster than infrastructure.

They are trying to hire more people but as someone who has been involved in hiring IT staff many times over I can tell you it's costly and time consuming.  Sometimes so much so that you can have an open req but no time to go through the hiring process. So the way I see it right now Mt. Gox has a choice between going through the hiring process OR fixing things and getting them up and running.

I suspect they are doing the later.

I'm rather good with Linux.  If you're having problems with your mining rig I'll help you out remotely for 0.05.  You can also propose a flat-rate for some particular task.  PM me for details.
