The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Go to MtGox.com and buy some bitcoins or learn how to mine them, but dont ask the people here in this forum for bitcoins, thats the same like you ask on the street for money, i am sure you dont do that.

the best question is what kind of graphics do you have.
if you have Nvidia, then gpu intensive mining isn't a good option.

if you have ATI\AMD, then it may be. Bitcoins though require a lot of processing power and is unlikely to make you any money.
look into alternative currencies, maybe Feathercoin, Litecoin.

I just got started an I have to say I like it.

I own an engineering company and have a lot of down time. In this down time I became a Semi-pro gamer and have some powerful units.

I stumbled on this trying to sell one of my accounts.

Way to get started is like anything else. Jump in and have fun. Not way to learn without trying.

Start mining, gamble some with the bitcoins to see if you get lucky, Buy a few, trade some stuff for some. Just get you hands on em and see if its your cup of soup.
