Even I have gotten the idea from simple description of each type of node. First of all names of the nodes Iridium,steel,Platinum and Titanium looks very cool but instead of having assumption and guesses I would rather prefer to wait for detailed blog. The functionalities of these have clear purpose and benefits.

Node tiers

1. Iridium node
Virtual node to rent out TFD as a licence rental. An automatic script will rent out the TFD (as software licence) to Customers which want to use TE-FOOD but don’t hold TFD. Iridium node operators won’t maintain a masternode, thus providing computation power.

A part of the Customers’ transaction cost goes to the node owner as software licence rental fee.

2. Steel node
Masternode, providing low capacity computation power. The computation power is used to run TE-FOOD’s interface to send/request traceability data to/from TE-FOOD’s own blockchain, or a third-party blockchain.

A part of the Customers’ interface transaction cost goes to the masternode owner for running the service.

3. Platinum node
Masternode, providing medium capacity computation power. The computation power is used to verify and store transactions on TE-FOOD’s blockchain, and to run TE-FOOD’s interface to send/request traceability data to/from TE-FOOD’s own blockchain, or a third-party blockchain.

A part of the Customers’ traceability transaction and interface transaction cost goes to the masternode owner for running the service.

4. Titanium node
Masternode, providing high capacity computation power. The computation power is used to run complementary services of the ecosystem used by Customers, verify and store transactions on TE-FOOD’s blockchain, and to run TE-FOOD’s interface to send/request traceability data to/from TE-FOOD’s own blockchain, or a third-party blockchain.

A part of the Customers’ traceability transaction and interface transaction cost goes to the masternode owner for running the service.

To run a node, operators are required to possess a certain amount of TFD as software licence:

Iridium — 20 000 TFD
Steel — 60 000 TFD
Platinum — 120 000 TFD
Titanium — 350 000 TFD

The configuration requirements of the tiers will be defined later, but they will be aligned to the common tier offerings of VPS providers.

FAO, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations enters into a cooperation with TE-FOOD

FAO, through the Global Strategy to improve Agriculture and Rural Statistics, and TE-FOOD International GmbH. signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate in several activities:

As the first step, the Parties will contribute to a better understanding of blockchain technology, and its implications for the statisticans responsible for official statistics of the livestock sector.

The livestock sector contributes to 40 percent of the global value of agricultural output. It supports the livelihoods and food security of almost 1.3 billion people. It provides opportunities for sustainable agricultural development, poverty eradication and food security gains.

FAO and TE-FOOD will conceptualize and develop a pilot case based on the pig statistics sector in Vietnam, including the General Statistics Office, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, and the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) through its Data Innovation Group (Data61).

Based on the existing system put in place by TE-FOOD in Southern Viet Nam, parties will analyse the feasibility, the scalability and the sustainability of using existing registers and information made available through the distributed ledger from an official statistical perspective.

They will analyse the cost effectiveness of the blockchain technology in comparison with other administrative data technologies used in the livestock sector, then make recommendations and discuss possible improvements.

Finally, parties will create a further research agenda and proposals for scaling up these approaches in other countries and other situations proposed.

The project was recommended to me for investment as one of the most promising projects of the year, but I'm doubt.

For those of you who are tired of crypto companies without realistic valuations, TFD has a legit business model. Unlike most coins which issue new coins without anything to back them, TFD takes a part of it's real world fiat revenue to pay master node holders. TFD main net is scheduled to launch in Q3 2018.

What about storing te food coins? Where is the best place to keep them? I did bought some on IDEX market but now I would like to save them locally. Is the myetherwallet the best solution or is there some other good wallet?

If an ETF gets approved on BTC next month, expects TFD to go on a nice little rally shortly after.

Big money could come in, profits will be taken then invested into quality projects like this one.

Seen it happen before, no reason why it can't happen again.

QUICKEST SUMMARY

TFD has real world utility and already has adoption (app is used regularly per day). They're partnered with the FAO (food and agriculture organization) of the UN and multiple billion dollar companies. They're spread across many countries and growing fast. MCAP only like 13m. There will be tiered MN's with real world applications are will pay in CAL which is stable to the USD. To be eligible for a MN you have to hold either 20k, 50k, 120k or 350k. obviously the higher you hold, more benefits.
