It depends. Do you want a web wallet or a software wallet?
I recommend only software wallets.
I think currently best is Electrum. Easy, reliable, secure.
I would choose it. In past there were others as good as this, but not anymore.

For storing bitcoin desktop/hardware wallet are best.you can use electrum wallet for this.but for small transaction you can use blockcahin (on-line) wallet.I usually like to use on-line wallet.
As a newbie you can read about the wallet from here https://bitcoin.org/

There's no single best wallet to use. It depends on what balance you want to strike between convenience and security. I can provide you a few resources to help you make your decision.

If you have specific question about any one wallet, post here again and many of us will help you!

I don't know about ripple. The best wallet for ETH is myetherwallet. For bitcoin you can use any wallet that gives your private keys and a good security.

You should use btc because its possible that if you invest on bitcoin the value will increase and that is not a bad deal at all Eth doesnt sound bad at all but if you withdraw or payout you should..is a must use bitcoin to secure process but dont rush payouts because if the increasing value look for the right time

It depends on the purpose of the wallet I suppose. Almost no one uses full core anymore. Most of the time of this some type of software wallet there's only about three or four that choose from. It's not that hard to decide and I think that you just need to give it a little bit of thought and look at the advantages of the different ones because it's up to you which one you use.
