Thay have een so much surprised by p2p landing,any regulation in p2p caused heavy mlns dollar fraud
I can understend baning ico untill regulations will be not created,but exchanges ban after regulations just done,idiotic,exchanges can change location,will thay ban crypto for chinise

Sun Guofeng, head of the PBoC financial research institute, said in a recent interview that the ICO crackdown is necessary and timely.

Millions of Chinese will trade BTC face-to-face, some people will go to jail, but Chinese will own coins one way or the other.

What it could mean, is that prices drop and find a new bottom at 2000, maybe 1000 .... but in the future without the Chinese exchanges there willl be lower volatility and that will be good for Bitcoin.

The Chinese system will not last much longer anyways, they have huge monetary problems and banning Bitcoin will make it official to 1 billion Chinese that BTC is attractive and Yuan is not

Well, since there are no exchanges in China - I guess they are not the ones who have sold their bitcoins in panic... instead of hating the Chinese it would be best to hate the flocks of sheep which are everywhere (oh well... they are the ones who sells whenever there is FUD). Do you realize that Chinese want Bitcoin but it's the government that is shutting down exchanges?  Also, the highs in 2013 and this year would not have been possible without the enthusiasm of the Chinese people.  I am not particularly fond of the mining conglomerate which is Chinese but to throw racial slurs and say you'll  slap them can't be in spirit of this forum.  

I think the root of the problem is all the SCAM ICOs that popped up out.  China lifted a lot of regulation and allowed withdrawal from exchange  this year thinking of Bitcoin.  But it didn't forsee all the SCAM ICOs for everything under the sun. All these coins and ICOs, 99% are a speculative frenzy or straight up scam and people are all going to lose their money.  

If there is regulation, it would make sense to only allow fairly distributed coins.  That means no to almost everything even ETH which is mostly premined, XRP, etc.  

I know a lot of people are arguing capital controls and outflow through Bitcoin but China had changed their stance of that.  All these scam ICOs seemed to make them change their stance again.

Its not the scam ICO's, its how quickly theyre adopting it and the threat it poses's to the political class. A fascist dictatorship like the Chinese government is not going to relinquish control of the money supply easily. Theyre attempting to clip the market and crash it before it has a chance to get a solid grip on their economy and essentially dispossess them of a large portion of their power over the people.

If China ends up cleaning their crypto roads, they will not form a problem anymore in the future years. This China nonsense has had too much impact on crypto in general, and this needs to stop. I don't want to see any country exit, but if this will help Bitcoin move forward, and directly help all those chickens being afraid every time China farts, let them withdraw themselves -- no one will care. That being said, it's not only China that should receive a large part of the blame, but also the western traders selling down our exchanges....

They are trying to shutdown bitcoin and all the other cryptocurrencies, i dont get the point in doing that. what is their main reason for doing such a thing?
Bitcoin has already dropped a lot, and i am sure it will break the $3k level and it will drop even more than that. Obviously it will recover, but it will take some time.
China is doing it good by thinking in their banks.. but what is gonna happen when the same is going to happen with united states? it would be a chaos.
