The attempt to replace BTC with BCH is self destructive. Trust in Crypto would be set back by years.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=753252.msg24367898#msg24367898

If you want so save Crypto, dump your BCH and buy BTC. Smiley

Bitcoin will never scale, so it's nice to have options that work and you can easily send coins for low fees. Ditto the alts. We're going to see competition for the coin that will be most used by merchants and customers

At the moment it doesn't have to scale but what it has to do, is be the backbone of crypto. People should realise that they are trying to tear down the branch they are sitting on. It's not only that all alts are traded in Bitcoin and if Bitcoin price declines, alts price declines too. It's all about perception! Bitcoin is perceived as the representative of Crypto to the outside world, if it fails to early Crypto will be perceived as having failed (even if its hasn't). But often perception is more important than reality.

Why would it not scale? If scaling becomes paramount for keeping mining revenue flowing, it will definitely scale. The only question is whether or not the scaling will happen in time.

I disagree with your point of view and instead I think it is wise to have both. BCH won't overcome BTC but it will last as a high-priced coin, so it is a profitable investment btw...

What makes you think that? I don't see why both would stick around for large amounts of time and I don't see why it couldn't overcome BTC if we get more drama like SegWit2x in the future... I doubt this will happen, but it seems possible.

Why did you say so? For now I don't sense any signs that bitcoin will be dead and change to bitcoin cash as we both need them. If that will happen all we can do is to accept it.Really dont want it to happen since I like them both.

One thing that I understand in the bitcoin is a very bright future. Where if you understand well about bitcoin then surely will understand well what you have to do, otherwise it will definitely do a wrong analysis and ends on a plan for the worst. Bitcoin cash is actually just a shitcoin, so it is definitely you will never get the fact that bitcoin is going to be dead and it is definitely bitcoin cash will become a regular coin only or as ethereum.

I even consider bitcoin a shitcoin, its slow and has high transaction fees.  It's going to die soon and you would be a fool to keep a large amount invested in bitcoin.

Bitcoin is like myspace it will be overtaken.  I already consider ethereum the top crypto.

LOL it is going to die because it has "high transactions"? That's like saying bread will no longer be sold because everyone wants it. The level of chinese stupidity is far beyond what I have anticipated, I hope its just a language barrier.

There's better coins than BCH to get into, BCH is just another alt.
BTC is the king, and something like PIVX,ARK,WAVES is technically better.

i think we all know bitcoin cash is much better than bitcoin, but it will very hard for bitcoin cash to take bitcoin place in just few years, because percentage of people using bitcoin is always higher than bitcoin cash users, and bitcoin price is always higher than bitcoin cash now, so it will bring us more profits than bitcoin cash.

Bitcoin Cash has 8MB blocksize and the current system of Bitcoin though faster than Bitcoin, but to be honest, I also do not think Bitcoin Cash can replace Bitcoin in future. Like your said, a new Bitcoin as SegWit2x can change the scenario if Bitcoin Cash wants to replace Bitcoin at now.

Pure speculation. Customers are converting btc into bch which is why this huge fluctuation. Those who converted any coin will know this. Very difficult to judge the price of conversion. It's also can be seen as a blind conversion without actually looking at the price per conversation.

The second reason is those who invested onto btc expecting fork is slowly moving out to altcoins. But that speculation happening because of rumors bch cross 3000 and btc will come to that range.

Same in the case of mining too. A lot of hash power moved out from btc mining yo bch. Almost 300 % increase happened. This makes each block saved in 3 min and expecting hash rate increase in the next 30 hrs. So huge difficulty change can happen.

Today was a major difficulty decrease in btc mining. This makes btc mining more profitable for next 14 days.

By having btc.com pool with US servers having an option to switch btc and bch pools instantly.

We advised our customers to move from Europe servers to the USA to make this easy process. So they can switch pools at pool levels without contacting the machines. Being in Iceland reaching USA and Europe servers is almost same latency. So advice to our customers to use USA servers if btc.com pool is used.

I think BTC will be back to normal as soon as possible. These kinds of events are very damaging to the market.
