The only reason that makes me think there is a chance that you story is true is that I know some other people have done foolish actions like that. For example, putting all the savings in one fancy stock, which filed for bankruptcy, getting into debt to buy one fancy stock and the like.

Realistically, 3-4 years after the bear market has ended and we're deep into the next cycle.  It's possible that the price will temporarily rebound to there very soon, but I doubt it will last long until the next bull market.

But a doomsday scenario, as ridiculous as it sounds, is always possible enough for it to be crazy to invest your life savings into just BTC.

Finally, a voice of reason.  This behavior happens at the end of every
bull market and I am old enough to remember the old ETrade commercials
during the super bowl and how insane people got about technology & internet
stocks back then.  And I've seen a lot of the same insanity here on bct, too.

I don't believe this guy's story about grandma though.  But I don't doubt there
are cases where people have been led astray by overzealous bitcoin bulls.

woww seriously !! ALL HER LIFE SAVINGS ON BITCOIN That is a very risky and bad advise. Bitcoin is a very volatile currency. She should not have put more than 30% in it .
Don't worry, btc will bounce back and once it does, I advise her to remove up to 70% of her funds off btc and invest it physically

i think this is the right reaction to this post because why did you do that you invest when you know about something not if other people tell you to do it and that is why you wont make it far because even if you invested you dont know what to do with it.
