How soon can we REALISTICALLY see $4200 again and upwards?

Who told you to invest solely in Bitcoin? If someone here asked you to do so, then please quote the OP. At least a hundred times I have posted here that the Bitcoin (and the other crypto currency) holdings must be no more than 20% (ideally around 10%) of the total portfolio. And what you did? You ruined your grandma, by forcing her to invest her entire savings in Bitcoin. It is not our fault, and it is not her fault. The best thing for you to do may be to reimburse her of her losses.

I do not think that this is a real case. But if all the same it happened, then it's a silly act, from the grandson's side, to do something, because someone said to do it. First of all, you need to learn how to use your own head, and only then, you can give advise to someone, especially relatives.  Undecided

Hopefully you explain it to your grandma so thats why you convinced her about this but dont tell that because what someone told you it sounds so annoying but it will go up trust and believe of it.

Blaming thing isthe reason why I didn't teach it to friends and tells it tp anyone unless they asked. This is our decision ,the pump and dump ia a normal thing . I already lose half of my investment but I'm not blaming anyone, i was got a chance to earn more befpre thw dump bit didn't mind selling it since it will still increase maybe at the end of the year.

That is exactly why you should NOT:

1) Tell anyone to invest something, this can only result in:
     - He makes profit (you were pretty lucky, outcome will be he will say thank you)
     - He looses money (he will give you the fault and maby even end friendship, etc.)
--> Don´t tell anyone what to do with their money

2) Tell anyone how great bitcoin is without mentioning that this is only your opinion and that he shall research himselfe before investing anything into it, because even if you don´t directly tell him to invest, he could see you as the guy who brought him to it.

This cant be real Cheesy... or is it real? anyhow... stupid regardless. You should be very careful when it comes to economy and guidance.. especially within crypto where everything is extremely volatile. Oh well, hope your grandma recovers from the dip.. we are down to 3050 $ now Tongue

Oh god,why did you buy at such a high price, thats a mistake that a newbie does,if bitcoin's price doesnt go above like 6000$ ,you will get a bad profit ,know this for sure, when you invest in something, you have to look in its history and you invest in it only when price drops, other wise the whole point of you investing will be in vain, and the price of bitcoin should probably recover in a week or two.

Many people believe and have said all over the years that don't ever trust all what you read in the internet, but I can understand because you are just a newbie so there are still many things that you need to know and understand about bitcoin but don't advertise something like bitcoin, if especially your still learning about it. You may encounter or read a post that you need to put everything or invest it all in bitcoin but its a choice and don't use other people's savings or money for you to experiment. You don't know the future of bitcoin and so do we, the risks is always there when investing bitcoin because its always fluctuating. So if I were you don't use your grandma's savings because we said so, do an experiment and learn everything about bitcoin .Once you learn everything and understand all of it, now will try convince to under people to invest in bitcoin but don't force them.

I'm new here, but can we see more of these?
Really hoping this is a joke because that is the funniest thing I've read today.

If this isn't a joke, I hope for Bitcoin rise for your Grandmothers sake and the sake of your pride/heart

You have persuaded your grandmother to invest her money into one of the most volatile markets there is. I don't know if i should laugh or cry.

Believing what people here say is plain stupid. Why do you think that you can believe anything that anyone says here? Anyone can create an account and write whatever they want without any consequences. This being said, this does not imply that there are no valid opinions and true statements. You have to understand one thing: everybody here is saying what they think as a personal opinion. It's always like that. You should read the book The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. It will open your eyes.

As for your options, you have two:
1. sell to minimize loss.
2. hold until price surpasses what you bought for.

My suggestion is - don't sell until price is above what you have bought. No one can tell you when this will happen. There is a slight possibility that this might never happen. So you have to gamble. But you have already gambled when you invested granny's money so, best of luck to you.

why did you allow her to take risk at the old age.  Investment in crypto is very risky. One should not invest the money that they are not ready to lose. if at all the price goes up, better ask her to sell it immediately.  crypto investment is not for the old people.  this is like a double edge sword
