Coming from a newbie member, I don't think it is a good move that you make life decisions for her in which her whole life savings depend on it. Because Bitcoin investment has no assurance that your grandma's money will grow overtime it is actually a risky and scary move that if you ended up with a loss both you and your grandma will have trouble in the future. Just like what happened in the recent day where the value of Bitcoin is really lower than your purchase price which it had reached 3000$, a 1200$ difference is a big amount even if your grandma only bought 1 Bitcoin. I don't think that it is a good investment, especially if the person is not able to recover the loss if there is any. I am not against Bitcoin or investment in cryptocurrencies, In fact, I believe that Bitcoin will give good speculative gains in the future but still, I wouldn't invest my whole savings in it.

Diversification is the key to balancing the risk of the portfolio and since you have invested your whole savings in one option, especially having wild behaviour on the price chart, I am not impressed with it.
