it will only go up. She bought at $4200 How soon can we REALISTICALLY see $4200 again and upwards? Even though long term I see bitcoin growing, using ALL savings is too risky.

Regardless of what anyone says, the money is your grandmother's money so if she bought Bitcoin with it, it was her decision to do so. Nobody can guarantee anything regarding Bitcoin's price.
Well thats true people should not invest so much money without concrete and a well plan strategy if you are not surely can gain the expected or maybe higher amount from the money you invest. Dont give such money if you cannot afford to lose it.

I think it's stupid. Why involve your grandma in this stupid plan. She should be spending this money now.
lol yeah, she's old now and she doesn't have much time left to live and you are involving her into a dipshit plan of your curiosity. What will she do with the profit she makes, If any?

The first part, you asked your grandma to put her savings in Bitcoins because the community said, right? You were stupid. Whenever investing into anything, it's you who is/will be completely responsible for whatever the decision taken, so you should never blame it upon us first of all. Secondly, keep calm and watch it tight because Bitcoin has always gained after these losses over time, so never take any more wrong decisions in panic. China played the games and dumped it and not us, so why blame us? Just hold it hard.

Not trying to be mean or anything, but it was really stupid to suggest such a thing AND exepect result for a short term period, you gotta understand that bitcoin doesnt work overnight so you'll have to do some waiting maybe a month or two, and then you'll see some progress.I'll be thinking of you when the price goes over 4,5k $ OP.

It's good that my grandma does not know about bitcoin. Otherwise, she would have to explain how to trade on the exchange

It is good to invest in bitcoin but I think it is absurd to put all your life savings into it, not to mention it is your grandma's money. Just hope the price recovers soon so you can return your grandma's money back.

Do you really think that he invested his grandma lifesaving? He just saying that to create a little drama in his words, but that makes no difference did he invested grandma money or his, or he loaned the money from some sharks, he bought in wrong moment and now he needs to wait price rise to make some profit. I think price will go to 7000 dollars before new years eve, so just patience and holding, nothing else can be done here. Now when he is in possession of bitcoins he should save them until price to go to 10000 dollars minimum, that will happen in next year, maybe at the end but that will happen and he will have double profit, he can give back to his grandma and to have for him.

Ooo good lord I got triggered real bad after reading OP's main post, whether or not this is real. " I told my grandma to put all her lifesavings in Bitcoin because you guys said it will only go up." oh my fucking god. WHY. THE. FUCK. WOULD. YOU. INVOLVE SOMEONE ELSE THAT DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT BITCOIN. I would call you stupid if you went all in with your money on bitcoin. But noooo, you did worse OP, you got a family member to invest in something she had no idea on. You should be spending that money making her remaining life meaningful, like going traveling or something. fuck me. I need to smoke and have a beer after reading this. seriously.

Do not ever take someones advice as 100% if you truly don't know that that person knows what's he talking about or know him in person. Everyone can write whatever they want here, tho don't worry that much, I can say that 100% that the price will be back where it used to be a few weeks ago (still my opinion tho).

You were extremely stupid to believe anything written here. You were extremely stupid to suggest it to her. She was even more stupid to follow through on it.
That's if any of it actually happened of course.
This. If you believed that "it will only go up" and any other nonsense, you haven't watched bitcoin since 2009. Overall it has gone up, but certainly not in a straight line. And the rule has always been that you shouldn't invest more than you could afford to lose: bitcoin is either going to be worth a whole lot in a decade or very little, it is somewhat of a binary proposition. Looking at this in terms of weeks or months is not the way to do so. This is something that may take years (it has already been 8+ years) or it might only take months. No one knows, so don't believe people who act as if they do. If the OP's post is true.

Anyway, the prices have recovered to around $3,800, which is only around 9% lower than the price which the OP purchase the coins. If he want, he can ask his grandma to sell the coins right now and book a small loss. Anyway, it is his problem.

It sounds funny to me that your grandma is investing in bitcoin. But I think it wasn't very clever to suggest to her to put all her lifesavings into it. Haven't you ever heard that bitcoin is volatile and thus risky? I don't know what your grandma would say when she finds out that she could also lose some money.

it will only go up. She bought at $4200 How soon can we REALISTICALLY see $4200 again and upwards? Have you told her yet what is the current price of bitcoin ? Probably it will bring her a mini heart attack just kidding . You should have made an analyzation throughout the movements of bitcoin's price before making a decision and make sure that it is your own money not from any member of your family so that if this happened it will be only your loss . Don't worry man just wait for a few months and probably it will be back again at $4200 and please get your grandma's money into cash and give it back in to her

I hope you are joking and please read more about diversifying investments. And the age matters in investing as well. Investment ratios should decrease as the investor's age.
If you are not joking, good luck to your Grandmother.
