Different age groups have different risk tolerance levels. If might not be wise for a very old woman to still invest her money on speculative asets like bitcoin. If for a reason the price slides down by more than 50%, it might take a while for her to recover her losses. And time is what she is lacking considering she should just be spending her life enjoying her remaining years.

Well, if she is in to some wild adventure, then you can take her to the Walking Street. I have been to there quite a few times, and it is just fantastic experience.

I won't advise my grandma to put all her saving into bitcoin. Maybe half of it, and the other half for his enjoyment in his life on earth because she has worked very hard for that money and she deserves some pleasure out of it. I agree, why don't you take her somewhere that she enjoys like a walk in the beach, or even playing with his favorite past time. I wouldn't say that $4,200 per coin is a very high price. But the problem is that you may need to wait for up to 5 years, to get good returns out of it. And who knows whether the grandma will live up to that age or not? Please don't get me wrong. I want her to live for that long.

It's your own responsibility to be financially sound and only invest in what you could afford to lose, with that said Bitcoin's price has gone up over time and in a volatile market you can't be afraid and most investments are meant to be long term things, nothing is guaranteed especially quick gains.

It is not at all advised to go all-in in an investment that you aren't left with any money to spend, and she would be pretty old so if this investment fails then what would she do for the rest of her life, have you thought about it? But don't worry about bitcoin, just wait patiently for some time and bitcoin price will surely rise beyond the point at which you brought it.

I wouldn't do this or ask anyone to invest all of their loney into bitcoin especially elder citizen. Invest all your savings into bitcoin is so risky and their whole life savings can be gone in just a few minutes or hours if you invest it in a wrong timing. It's actually a dumb action tho.

It's indeed very stupid... It's strange that people think that bitcoins will always bring them profit, so they do stupid stuff like putting all money into bitcoins. Imo you should wait for price that's bit higher than when you bought them, so that you wouldn't lose anything, and just sell these coins. Don't risk her money.

That's a very bold step but a very fast one, you could have brought it for her at dips say 2900$ then 3k and others. It has already touched 4200 and now it's down, but since it's only been few days, I would advise you to be patient cause it normally has a tendency to rise upwards, a slight setback is always expected. Which brings me to a point, putting entire money is always not a good idea, you could have put half or 3/4th, I would advise you to diversify the considering its your grandma Savings and she could require it, so would advise to redeem some when it touches a high in cash.

And I hope she also have some extra savings for her maintenance. And I can say your grandmother is cool because some of our elders are not into this and they prefer to save their money in the bank which only have a small interest unlike in investing in bitcoin. Hope my brother also realize this.
