Good thing the price of bitcoin increase so your grandma already earn, it would be better if she cash out her capital to make sure she wont lose anything.
In your part as a grandson why did you risk the money of your grandma? what if it didnt turn out well then nothing will left for her. dont believe in hearsay and be a man with affirmation.

That is right, it is better to cash out the capital so she cannot lose anything. It is very risky for an old person to put all of her lifesavings into bitcoin because how can she buy the things that she really need like medicines if her savings was in bitcoin and because of the volatility she can lose money and that is the sad part for an old person like her.

it will only go up. She bought at $4200 ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) How soon can we REALISTICALLY see $4200 again and upwards? I bet Grandma is dancing the two-step with these prices. Maybe she should sell enough to recover her initial investment, and keep the rest.

This has to be a troll post, I dont think anyone could actually be this stupid. Your grandma should never invest in bitcoin especially if she needs that money to retire. Going all in on a risky asset at an age where you can never earn it back is so stupid.

Your grandma did the right thing, how did you convinced her? Within 2yrs that investment can be tripple or 4x in return. Dont play swing trade, just let the investment grew itself. it will only go up. She bought at $4200 ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) How soon can we REALISTICALLY see $4200 again and upwards?

Is this real? If it is why would you buy bitcoin at the price of $4200 that's so expensive compared to last week's price but oh well it's your grandmothers money anyway if it's actually true. No one really knows what will happen to bitcoin so in the end you have to make the choice yourself or put atleast research the digital currency you've invested in. But for me im sure that bitcoin will rise and grow even further.

Maybe you have a point. It's really a risky movement putting all her lifesavings in bitcoin especially now that she's getting older.I agree with you to better cash out the capital so she won't have no worries anymore if ever bitcoin price will drop.I'm sure the remaining money will still profit in the coming years. And that's already enough for her since she is old already, she'd still be happy knowing she still have a little investment in bitcoin left.

A-a-a-a-a-nd we returned to where we started, that bitcoin is more like a gamble than a real currency. And you can invest only the money that you do not mind losing.
Although now your granny is already winning

it will only go up. She bought at $4200 ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) How soon can we REALISTICALLY see $4200 again and upwards? You have persuaded your grandmother to invest her money into one of the most volatile markets there is. I don't know if i should laugh or cry. Believing what people here say is plain stupid. Why do you think that you can believe anything that anyone says here? Anyone can create an account and write whatever they want without any consequences. This being said, this does not imply that there are no valid opinions and true statements. You have to understand one thing: everybody here is saying what they think as a personal opinion. It's always like that. You should read the book The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. It will open your eyes. As for your options, you have two: 1. sell to minimize loss. 2. hold until price surpasses what you bought for. My suggestion is - don't sell until price is above what you have bought. No one can tell you when this will happen. There is a slight possibility that this might never happen. So you have to gamble. But you have already gambled when you invested granny's money so, best of luck to you. And here you go. Problem solved. Bitcoin is above 4200$ again. In this case you were lucky, hopefully you've learned your lesson. Just for the info - what do you plan to do now? Now you have a choice: you can return granny's money to usd and be thankful that everything ended up ok, or you can choose to be greedy and await further increase. What will you do? Well this was not a bad suggestion, just think if the same advice was given by some one in 2013 when the bit was of USD 400 so his grandmother would now be billionaire in such a old age. But again this was the luck that the bit coin price drop down to 3000 USD and face some worry for some time but now you should be relax and be hopeful that bit coin can touch 10k in near future, I believe in risk and you must take risk like this.

Lol, crazy people are all over. Firstly, why did you listened to others and taken risk with grandma's savings. If its your money then it is quite understandable but putting grandma's money at risk was not a wise decision. As the price is pretty high than what you have bought at, you should en-cash the coins if you don't want to take risk anymore , still there will be a decent profit if you sell the bitcoins now.

You were extremely stupid to believe anything written here. You were extremely stupid to suggest it to her. She was even more stupid to follow through on it.
That's if any of it actually happened of course.
you shouldn't follow everything that's written here on the forum not everything that you read is real some of those are hoax they just said it or answered it that way so that they have an answers in the forums and if I were I before investing you should know first the rules in investing and does it really works.
