Alright, SO. I am willing to PAY YOU .05btc if you can fix my java

http://isjavaenabled.com/ Tells me that Java is enabled.
http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp "do i have java" Also tells me that i have java, And that it works.
Minecraft works, So im even more certain that i have both the 32 and 64bit java installations

The issue? Absolutely Any Javascript:// link DOES NOT FUNCTION. in IE9 or Firefox (only browsers i've tried)
Such as the ones you would see on the Liveleak.com "comments" button or "embed code" button

I have been having this issue for about three months now, It just started out of nowhere, Around the time i tried to disable java, Following the "isjavaenabled" instructions and nothing more
The weird thing, Is that my brother, on a differant computer, Also has this Javascript link failure, And he has done nothing to provoke it as far as im aware

Windows 7x64 ultimate
Please help us, We want to beable to use javascript links

javascript =/= java

also, paste this into a html file and check if clicking on the link opens an alert box.
Code:
<html>
<body>
<a href="javascript:alert('hello')">test</a>
</body>
</html>

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

I know that javascript =/= java, wich is another reason why i need help.
What do you mean by "into an HTML file" a text file saved as HTML? Did that, And i got the popup, AFTER windows said, "internet explorer restricted this webpage from running Scripts and ActiveX controls" i hit "allow" and the javascript popup worked

Also, THANKYOU GRUE!, Shit man, everytime i see you its a pleasant surprise

Through teamviewer Grue helped me untill it was fixed, Great guy, definitly respects privacy, and it seemed like he knew what he was doing.
The problem was with my Hosts file, Somewhere my Massive list of blocked webpages javascript is getting blocked, Somehow.

We changed the hosts file back to the original and stuff started working, Thanks grue!

So hey uhhh, Grue, Got a bit of an "issue" going on.
I've been systematically adding lists of webpage addresses Letter by Letter, Repeatedly checking back to see WHEN it stops working... And well.. I added everything and I dont have the javascript error... Huh?!

So i put back my old (problem causing) Hosts file, And there was no problem to be seen...
I even flushed the DNS, and somthing crazy happened, It made a loud drumslapping noise without anyother details aside from "dns flushed successfully"
Im really confused now!, I have Never in my life heard my cmd window make such a noise! It was the weirdest damn thing ever! and im hoping it was just like.. A website popup that coicidentally happened at the same time

I was adding letters one by one, Going:
"add all the A's"
Restart internet, Check if working, Works
"add all the B's"
Restart internet, Check if working, Works
"repeat untill all letters added"
Restart internet and flush dns, Works.

What the fuck?
