If you have good net speed and want to use it for regular use, download bitcoin-qt
For more security : Armory
Lightweight: Electrum/Multibit or online wallets.

I like running the classic Bitcoin - Wallet.  It is fast enough for my needs and functions as infrastructure for the bitcoin network by staying connected to ~8 other user's computers.  Its great for people who can dedicate a machine for a single purpose and leav it on 24/7. :-)

MOD EDIT:
See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=218040.0 as this site is probably a scam

I wouldnt make a digital wallet, you can be never sure that your computer is clean. I made a PaperWallet at www.bitcoin-address.org and printed the paper wallet. This is the best method to secure bitcoins.

I would use QT for my first wallet, just know you have to be very patient while it syncs to the network for the first time Smiley

Definitely check out Electrum if the thought of syncing gigabytes of transactions doesnt appeal to you.

I really like MultiBit,

It's only ~40mb with the blockchain downloaded. (It downloads a heavily stripped down version of the entire chain, and goes back for information on addresses it actually manages)
It doesn't rely on an external server to host the blockchain (like Electrum)

And it allows you to manage multiple wallet files so you can export only certain keys and use them on multiple devices (for petty cash on a phone, as an example. If you lose the phone, you already have the wallet open so you can move the coins out of it.)

I prefer Electrum on Linux, but I've encountered bugs. Nothing that stops me from using it. Whatever you choose, remember to Back Up!

If you want something basic just go with the simplest one (in my mind) Bitcoin-Qt

I use blockchain.  When logged in, you can access graphs of your account history, such as final balance or the number of transactions per day.

I personally use MultiBit as it's fast and small for my needs. But i'm in the process of still downloading the full blockchain with QT.
