I think everyone has a different definition for success , but the major society view and perspective is just money ! A lot of money  ,with money everyone will automatically think you are a successful guy , you may deny but it's fact

Success is when you can be into the job you like and the hobbies you prefer and you don't need to think that tomorrow you'll run out of money.
A success is when you implement yourself as a person, when you achieved your goals and/or have a ways to do it in the future.

To reach your Goal in life means success. Success when you have been able to help others, to needy ones ...who hardly struggling in life. That is maybe the ultimate way of success for me.

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.

I do not think you need anything more, because success is a different concept for each person. What do you want to succeed? To me, success is simply to travel everywhere

First, I would stress the relativity. Success is relative rather than absolute. It is also context based. A common success 100 years ago may not make sense at all today. Second, we have to think about margin and measure success by benefit and cost. These two factors vary from individual to individual. Third, life is a journey rather than a destination. I think the ultimate success is that we are satisfied with our experience and in peace when we approach the end of life. Materials is a big part in all these three aspects but not all of them.

To achieve success is of course not easy, because you also have to address failure well if indeed you face failure. To achieve success we often have to go through mistakes and failures in life. Many people want to succeed but very few dare to face failure. If you want to be successful, you should not be afraid to fail! Success is achieving your goals. What's your goal? if achieved then you are a successful person. So the notion of success is the same in general and what is different is what is your goal, because the goals of people vary in their lives.

My idea of success in life can seem rather dull to those whose goals are to have money and power. I do not dream of a profitable job in an office, of expensive cars, luxurious restaurants or brilliant dresses. I dream of a job in a place where I have freedom to express my ideas and develop them without feeling like a slave under the will of a greedy boss. I need a salary not too high but enough to make a moderate living.

Success is to achieve your goal. The goal, which you have been raised in your mind for a long time and finally you achieve it. The satisfaction, the happiness, the position ....what you have all this after achieving goal i will say that this is success.

I think success is when we can finish any work properly and gain achievements or what we have dreamed since we was young and became reality now.

Success is very generic and takes numerous forms. What might be a success to you might not look similar to someone else. But just like those you mentioned society try to set fix target for individuals and call that success, i say the hoo with that. Success is how you feel about yourself not what some feels about you. This morning i woke up healthy and then just told myself. Heeerh it was a successful sleep. I got to the office and it was a successfull journey. Take it us it comes and you will be more than surprised of what you can achieve.

sucess for me is how you can prove it to your self that your a good employe not only to the company that you have been work even to your family

success is being happy, satisfied and content with your life. It also means having more than seven digits on their bank account.

Good answer. I agree that it's not always about the money. However, I am not a hypocrite to say that having money or a substantial amount of it won't be helpful. But, there are a lot of important things in life that can define success. It would actually depend on the priorities of the person you're asking plus his or her own definition of success. For myself, having a stable income and keeping myself and my family happy and enjoying my life would be a fit definition of success.

We usually think of success as material things we have or we earn. Success to me means being happy and doing what I love everyday. Helping others and having a good relationships with those people around me is one of my success.

This was well explained by maslo, he has given a maslow hirerchy theory that needs always increases to fullfill our needs we have to work hard. To achieve estim need or when you get your esteem need at that stage you are successful. Success is when you fullfill your need.

success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.
