I am looking for someone to create a quality high-resolution Icon for my project.  I would like the icon to be a creative combination of the Bitcoin symbol and a Stock/Share certificate.  This Icon will be used for an App Icon for an alternative currency.

If multiple submissions are made I will pick the best one, and may choose to tip any runner up as appreciation for trying.

Is this in any way related to BitShare the file hosting service?

No this is entirely related to:  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GL3KVgqkm-p0YT0sGniagPlqjBq43b-LTbegbTJ6hAo/edit?usp=sharing

Perhaps 'BitShares' would be less ambiguous.

Beautiful.  Preferably the icon would have a transparent background that would look good on the OS X Dock.

I think if you could remove 'Certificate for' from the image and then 're-balance/center' the logo and then provide a transparent background then you will have won the bounty.

I would require that all rights for the logo be assigned to the public-domain and that I be provided with the original photoshop/layered version of the image to collect the bounty.

Here you go! It's a transparent png. I can also send you the .psd file and the vector file.

The top half appears faded and the edges are a little rough with artifacts.  Could you clean that up a bit?

Much cleaner, though it feels 'dark' or 'dull' to me compared to the originals.  The originals appeared to 'glow' and 'shine' and this variation seems to have lost that.
