Xbox LIVE 1200 Microsoft Points - How to redeem your code
There are two easy ways to redeem your Xbox LIVE prepaid code: on your PC or on your Xbox console.
To redeem your code on your PC:
1. Go to
http://xbox.com/redeemcode, and sign in to your Xbox LIVE account with your Windows Live ID.
2. Enter the prepaid code, and click Redeem Code. The page will refresh with a message confirming that your code has been redeemed.
Here's what happens when you redeem a prepaid Xbox LIVE code on your PC, depending on the type of code:
Xbox LIVE Gold Membership Code: An Xbox LIVE Gold Membership is added to your account, or an existing membership is extended.
Microsoft Points Code: Microsoft Points are added to your account.
Xbox LIVE Downloadable Content Code: Your content is downloaded automatically the next time your console connects to Xbox LIVE.
To redeem your code on your Xbox console:
1. Make sure your console is turned on and connected to a broadband Internet connection.
2. Sign in to Xbox LIVE from the Xbox Dashboard (be sure to sign in with the account for which you want to use the code).
3. Press the Xbox Guide button (the round silver button) in the middle of your Xbox controller.
4. Navigate to the Marketplace tab.
5. Use your controller to enter the code and select Done. The screen will display a page asking you to confirm that you want to redeem your code.
