I didn't buy too many coins, so there was no need for real-time monitoring. Just be patient and wait for the market to warm up.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

For me it was also a problem. In the beginning I used a blockfolio, but then I found the delta application and I really liked it. I recommend it to you.

In order to control your crypto-portfolio, you need to constantly analyze prices and other factors in the market of crypto-currencies.

I am currently using Delta. The app is good and the team behind it are responsive and very active. The app is well designed and I love it. So I recommend you using that one.

in general, this is the attitude of expectation, but more often there is the thought of selling on the top and buying in the recession, but you need to keep an eye on the news background as it can lead to the sale of the coin and not to the fall and the cross

I always used spreadsheets, they are very convenient to mine, despite the fact that they are not automated.

I use the blockfolio on android.  Very useful application, allowing you to view the entire portfolio!

The method of mine used to monitor the portfolio seems stupid.  Because I used a spreadsheet to record the price and tokens I have every Monday. I take me 1-hour every weeks.

I have been using an app in which we have got the option to add the total number of different assets with which it gives a calculated value for our holding. When the price variation takes place it gets reflected on the portfolio based on which we can make the trading if required.

I invest for a long time therefore I do not follow the portfolio every day, because I'm 100% sure in the future growth in the price of coins  Wink

Blockfolio is simply perfect, not clear how toy can beat that with a simple spreadsheet. But another very good free app for phones is Coin Stats. And Nano Ledger is now having its own propram to keep track of your REAL portfolio.

I use android apps with cool price widgets. This way I can stay on track 24/7 though it makes me look at my phone more often.

Check out CoinTracker. It has a unified dashboard for tracking your cryptocurrency assets, including over 1,700 supported coins, auto-syncing with exchanges (e.g. Coinbase, GDAX, Bittrex, Kraken, Poloniex, Binance, etc.), ERC20 token support, local wallet integration, performance metrics, and more.

I'm using the blockfolio program!
I also go to the site etherscan, where I can watch the cost of almost all my coins in hold

Just a few days ago I downloaded the mobile application of the FinTab project. As for me, it is very convenient, a lot of information about the coins. Who bought their paid version, in order to be able to integrate applications with wallets exchanges? Here is a link to their branch https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2193271.0

Long period of time I've used the Blockcloud as well. But guys are slow in adding new coins to the app. One day I discovered Delta app that is quiet good. They list coins very fast and support is great. Also they have much more options in the app. It am pretty happy so far.

I used blockfolio. Blockfolio has the prominent advantage of being mobile. And it has the massive drawback of being mobile-only. I loved Blockfolio for quite a while, the app is sleek, they have live prices for virtually all mainstream tickers and exchanges and it worked just great to keep track of my handful of coins and weekly trades.

But then when the trades started to get more frequent than weekly it became such a mission to input all those trades using this tiny button on my phone that I had to quit it.

They said a desktop version is soon to be released, but so far it hasn't.

Altpocket is,so far, the best looking alternative I've seen. One of the best tools out there. Totally free, lets you input your Poloniex and Bittrex API keys (which are the exact ones I use) and get trades automatically. Also lets you add trades manually. Lets you change your pricing API to CoinMarketCap, Poloniex or Bittrex.

Moreover, it has a social network feeling. Lets you share your portfolio and performance and be followed by people. But you can, obviously, make your portfolio private.

Still, it has a lot to add in terms of data visualization. Cointracking beats it hands tied. It seems that they have updates going on all the time, so I expect a lot more to come.

Cointracking.info is the perfect solution ! I knew at some point I would find something like that. They integrate with exchanges, they have API importers, all kinds of dashboards and charts and all you could want. Definitely the tool to get the job done. I mean they have IT ALL. More than I could figure from myself, like a dendrogram of currencies. They even help you get your taxes done.

Except that... well... for more than 200 trades it is not free AT ALL. It is quite expensive actually. A lifetime signature is half a BTC and a one year signature is 0.08 BTC (Currently approximately $200).

Well, not for me.
