i am not sure we can exactly call the ongoing thing a "bear" market to start or end! it was a special thing, exclusive to bitcoin only! some FUD was spread then some more people like the JPMorgan CEO took advantage and spread some more FUD and because bitcoin market is filled with a lot of newbies the weak hands are always there to act and price fell hard.
a bear market is usually a longer one when price keeps going down, not just a big dump to push it down.
for now the price seems to have found a stable price to stay at. if it stays there and doesn't fall we can say it is officially over now.
Yes there are a lot of newbies in the market now that can cause the price of bitcoin going down because they have an weak hands and not fully knowledgeable in the normal move in the market we're there is a panic Selling and they think it will continue but someone are waiting to it's lowest price and pump it again.
