Look, people. China says a lot of things.
They are not going to "ban VPN's". It wouldn't even be possible long term. Also, they've said this for literally the last decade. Too much at risk for their high and middle class business people. They even stated at one point that "we allow the use of VPN's for that sector of people"
Come here for a year or two, and see the reality of China for yourself, or stop stating things you don't know as certainties.
It is, however, quite possible for them to mess with withdrawals + certain aspects of traffic. They control much of how that goes down. Money. That's why this is such a touchy issue with them.
Is this is true, expect more dip tonight, for sure. If anyone finds out, post it here!
The fact of the matter is, anyone in Mainland China with enough to do blow on more than a few Bitcoins, definitely has an exit outside of the "Great Firewall" (which is actually quite weak, considering.)
I do like a good juicy piece of gossip. Will be interesting to watch what's really happening in terms of that rumored paper.
