If you are talking about bitcoin - I wouldn't suggest to sell it in the nearest future, because obviously it will rise again, so you'd rather buy it, when the price keeps dropping, instead of selling. In case of altcoins, which seem reliable, like LTC, ETH, XMR - you can sell some part of it, like half or more - then if the price still keeps dropping you at least saved some part of it, if it drops and then rises - you even made a profit. But as for new and too promising altcoins I'd say you better sell all of them, because it's 99% scam.
