You can buy te ventilation mufflers but why not just put it in a well vented room at the furthest point from any people in the building.

When using such silencers, the airflow is reduced a lot and the Miner will get hoter - I would recommend to test this before using. Best way if no extra room is available is to put it in a box with with 2 hoses for air input and output.

They don't do much from what I can tell. They won't silence much and it's cheaper and more effective to just buy some ducting from Lowes or Home Depot. You'll be able to put multiple miners inside and it doesnt reduce airflow as much as those ripoffs. They're also cheaper.

Hmm, where could I buy such a box, plus what do you mean by 2 hoses for air input and output? I'm in a small room and never done that before? Like would the silencer reduce it from 75 db to maybe 50?

That is a big drop in noise level. It will be tough to achieve.Use a thick walled box and acoustic ducting. Remember the longer the ducting the harder the fans will have to work and the hotter the miner may become. You could use an i line fan on the exhaust to draw the hot air out but it would have to be quiet a high CFM rating which would in turn add its own noise. You can get quiet ones but they would be fairly expensive.

I've only seen youtube videos that look like people hook up pipes to a cooler? For example, you say you a thick-walled box and acoustic ducting but I'd have no idea where to get that at and how much space would it take up to have ducting? I'm in a small room and a huge pipeline coming through the room might get in the way too much? Is there not like a box or some sort I can just plop it into?

No mate uts not that simple. I used to have an S9 heavily underclocked (50% reduction) under my desk in my bedroom and it was bearable. No way could i stand an S9 going full speed. The acoustuc ducting is available on ebay or hydrophonics store. The box is just a regular thick walled cardboard box from a warehouse or packaging suppliers. To see what effct the box has set an alarm clock off and measure the level then put it in the box. It will give you a rough idea but remember the tone/pitch of the fans is higher so will carry futher/more.

So cut two
10 inch holes in the box
put in 2 miners and a psu
tape the box shut
tape the flex duct for in and out
drop the blanket over the box
cost 17+ 10 + 43 + 50 = 120 for 2 miners.
correct?
One question a 10 inch duct will allow good air flow for 2 s-9's or 2 avalon 741's for about 8 feet correct?
